Better than the first but....

The first book in the series, Chasing Perfect, I hated and almost didn't get this one because it was so bad. However, I like Susan Mallery so I used my credit. This story is okay for a light romance but it is hard to like Ethan because he is so mean to Liz. I know the author tries to give his point of view but it doesn't help.

It could also be the narrator she is very bad, high pitch voices that is like nails on a chalkboard...ugh!

I would have given this 3 stars but because of the narrator I can only give it 2. I've got a list of narrators I don't like and make sure I don't purchase books by them and she is now on it...yes, that bad.

REALLY? Don't let your daughters listen to this!

I have purchased three books from this author. I have made it through 1 and 1/14 of the the three stories.

Why, as a woman would you write such demeaning stories? The women take unbelievable amounts of crap and still stand by the losers. I hope you don't teach your daughters this hooey.

Woman need to treat men as they treat woman. If you have a loser date, don't take his disrespectful behavior. Move on, there are so many great men out there. Get what you give. As an author I am embarrassed to call you a woman.

I would not recommend this book or the others to anyone.

Some men are pigs

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Since Ethan is such a self centered butt. It would have been better if he struggled in business and in male friends. How could such a mean, weak and selfish person be successful?

Would you ever listen to anything by Susan Mallery again?

Probably. Not all of her books have such despicable characters.

What about Tanya Eby’s performance did you like?

Her energy.

Did Almost Perfect inspire you to do anything?

no

Any additional comments?

Ethan's mother was incredibly mean and a gossip. This is a terrible dis-service to small towns and makes the town catty and a bunch of bullies. No thought to the young boy.
