Publisher's summary

Nola Leary would have been content to stay in Kilcairy, Ireland, healing villagers at her family’s clinic with a mix of magic and modern medicine. But a series of ill-timed omens and a deathbed promise to her grandmother have sent her on a quest to Half-Moon Hollow, Kentucky, to secure her family’s magical potency for the next generation. Her supernatural task? To unearth four artifacts hidden by her grandfather before a rival magical family beats her to it.

Complication One: The artifacts are lost somewhere in vampire Jane Jameson’s occult bookshop. Complication Two: Her new neighbor, Jed Trudeau, keeps turning up half-naked at the strangest times, a distraction Nola doesn’t need. And teaming up with a real-life Adonis is as dangerous as it sounds, especially since Jed’s got the face of an angel and the abs of a washboard. Can Nola complete her mission before falling completely under his spell?

I love how it continues the stories from Sleepy

Hallow with the same characters that were in the other stories. That is such a nice way to continue the books and I look forward to reading the rest of them!

One of my faves!

I don’t know if Amanda Ronconi settled into the accent (which would be a doozy for anyone to manage - “vaguely Irish, vaguely Bostonian”?!) or if I just got used to the Half Moon Hollow that bled through at times, but after the first hour I let it go and thoroughly enjoyed the story. A really good romp!

Dropping the F bomb does not

Ms Harper writes a good story but dropping the F bomb and using other profane words shows her lack of ability to express herself. One can get the point across without the use of profanity if one has the intelligence to do so.

Awesome book from one of my favorite authors

What did you love best about A Witch's Handbook of Kisses and Curses?

I laughed so hard during this book that I think I scared my office mates. I got some really interesting looks while listening to this book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Witch's Handbook of Kisses and Curses?

I loved the enteraction of the new characters with the series veterans, it even picked up on the novellas characters too...it felt like adding a couple more members to a large dysfunctional family.

Which scene was your favorite?

**Spoiler** I loved the scene where Nola figured out what was truly going on with Beau...not a curse just funky genetics

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I started this book in the afternoon, and I had serious issues with turning it off so I could sleep. But it kept me alert for my commute.

Any additional comments?

I loved how the narrator used a different tone of voice for each character, I have gotten several where I cannot listen to the book because its like listening to stereo instructions read aloud. That is definitely not a problem with this book or narrator.

Love this series

Molly Harper always does it right. This one is a little different, because of the witch and the shifter. However, Dick cheney finding more of his family is fun. I loved the quirkiness of this story as well as the excellent ending! Amanda Ronconi is always great.

All kinds of mythical creatures

I’ve enjoyed all 14 Molly Harper books I’ve read and can’t stop! The hilly Billy twang is a little irritating at times, but still a great story. I would suggest these books to anyone intrigued by vampires, werewolves, and all other mythical creatures.

Great Book :)

Hilarious as usual! Molly Harper is an automatic download. She always leaves you with a smile. I liked how the new plot connected to the grandfather and tied everything together in the Hollow. So nice visiting with old friends from Half Moon Hollow.

I enjoyed the crazy accents, because really how would a Boston/Irish accent sound?

If you keep writing them, I'll keep downloading! :)

Good, what you expect from Molly Harper

As others have said Amanda butchers the accents. Ooo it was so bad at times. Like she forgot she was doing a Boston accent for a few sentences and then make up for it by slathering it on thick for a few words and then drop it again. And the Irish accents... Well, they were not Irish sounding. I was able to get use to it and can just enjoy the book, but if you're a stickler for accents, just know you've been warned!
