Incredible Story

Francine Rivers is a gifted writer. The historical fiction is very informative, and the convictions of the character Hadassah were inspiring to me as a Christian. I can't wait to listen to the next book in the series.

Wow

This book was used by God to bring genuine conviction to my life. If you have friends or family who don’t believe in Jesus but like a well told story, this could be an instrument the Lord uses to draw their hearts closer to Him.

Amazing

This book takes you right into the Colosseum with the Christians in the lions. You feel like you understand Rome, the way it thought.

my favorite

This is one of my most favorite books. I have listened to it over and over without tiring. After purchasing this book, I immediately purchased the next two in the series. I enjoy seeing the characters grow and change as well as the different stories that move throughout the text. You will not regret purchasing this novel.

My favorite author

I love almost anything by Francine Rivers and I’ve read this book on my own at least twice. I think that helped me get past the narration. The narrator does a decent job keeping the voices distinct for each person but to me he struggles with women’s tones and they come off whiny a lot of the time. If you can get past that, the storyline is so great! I’ll be listening to the second book next just to hear the rest of the story and have a refresh since it’s been years.

Excellent

I wonder can I love and obey the Lord Jesus Christ as Hadasa. Could I face death and forgive and pray for those who hurt me? Can I serve as she? Thank you for letting the Lord use you to open my heart and eyes.

Outstanding

I read this series about 20 years ago and remembered how much I enjoyed it so I decided to give it another go. I think I enjoyed it even more this time. This is one of the best books I’ve ever read or listened to! You learn so much about ancient Rome, and it’s similarities to today’s society. Outstanding, I recommend this series to anyone who likes to read!

Heart wrenching.

It brought to mind how blessed we are as Christians and how we take is for granted.
