I can't wait to read the next one!

Would you consider the audio edition of A Voice in the Wind to be better than the print version?

I have never read the print version but I love listening to someone read to me, I read most books this way and the performance with Voice in the Wind was amazing! There are so many characters, so many details and all were distinguishable and life like.

What other book might you compare A Voice in the Wind to and why?

I have nothing to compare it with. Few people write about such things because they don't have the knowledge or the heart to do so. This book is phenomenal but you must be willing to walk in shoes of the persecuted church if you are going to read through to the end.

What does Richard Ferrone bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He brings these characters to life, when you might get confused with so many. The hidden natures of the characters are also revealed in his tones which is quite remarkable.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I cried a lot with this book, laughed a little, and by the end was left speechless for a while as I digested the information and revelation of the story itself.

Any additional comments?

I cannot wait to read the next book in the series!

Part 2 of "Mark of the Lion"

What made the experience of listening to A Voice in the Wind the most enjoyable?

I could really feel the struggle of Marcus, Julia, and Haddasah in this book.

What did you like best about this story?

The ending was what your hoped for and all that you could ask for.

What about Richard Ferrone’s performance did you like?

Richard Ferrone makes every character come alive! He capture the spirit of every character and brings them to life.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

A love story for the ages!

Any additional comments?

You cannot wait to begin this book after the end of the first book and it delivers in every way.

Say Sardonic One More Time...

Would you listen to A Voice in the Wind again? Why?

I would listen to it again because the author has a wonderful ability to capture a reader's pulse and slam it into hyper drive.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked best that while all of the characters were growing and developing around Hadasa, she remained solid and the same. She sets an example for Christians that seems very difficult to follow. I wish she had lost her patience with Julia and yelled at her even once! But I love that she stayed true and remained loveable to the end.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was Atratis finding out that his son was alive and that God was smiling down on him though he'd never given God cause to.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I wept when Hadasa tried to explain to Marcus why she couldn't be with him.

Any additional comments?

Though I loved this story and am already listening to the sequel, I regret that I find myself yearning for synonyms for the word "sardonic". I'm a big fan of this writer now, but I hope I find this habit remedied in future novels. An otherwise very wonderful and exciting read!

captivating

What did you love best about A Voice in the Wind?

I fell in love with the characters and remembered my own love for my Lord.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Odassa, Marcus, Phoebe, Julia. Francine's writing gives so much depth to her characters one will feel like they know them well and take an interest in what becomes of them.

What does Richard Ferrone bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Richard Ferrone is an excellent story teller. With all the feelings of the characters coming alive like the best of the radio show story tellers from the old days. I can't wait till I'm in the car or in the garden so I can listen again.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was lengthy so I would not want to listen all at once. I would not want the story to be any shorter. Since I didn't want the story to end I spaced it out enough to keep it going longer while still satisfying my wanting to listen.

Any additional comments?

This book seems to have been well researched, introducing things from Roman in the mid first century. Listen to the full series, in order. You will be glad not to miss this one!

A True Blessing For Saints!

What made the experience of listening to A Voice in the Wind the most enjoyable?

A wonderful journey into what happened with the early Christians...after he Temple fell....and intricate weaving of how the precious faith of one young christian slave girl...touched and changed the lives of ALL who knew her...Your faith will be encouraged and embolden ...A Saint would never complain AGAIN!...about anything...Ms. Rivers has to be a Saint...blessed by the Lord to accomplish such a tale about overcoming evil...in a vile period of time where life was cheap...a graphic offensive time which was well woven with the storyline ...without getting vulgar...Especially at a time where the ONLY measure of human value....or love...was only expressed by those who knew Him or who would come to know Him...and the same is soooo true today!

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Voice in the Wind?

Haddassa's commanding peace in the Capua arena...when she faced the ravenous lions!

Which character – as performed by Richard Ferrone – was your favorite?

Haddassa...no doubt!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Multiple bouts of grateful tears!

Any additional comments?

Couldn't wait to gobble up the next book!...Three Cheers!
