A wonderful experience!

I relax this book at least twice in the past and had such fond memories of I I decided to try listening to it. Absolutely did not disappoint. I initially had reservations about a male narrator but I soon got past that. Even after all these years it is still one of my favorites.

Favorite Book & wonderful author

Awesome experience traveling in time from 16th to 21st century, how characters had to adapt , how love can cross that great divide!

Couldnt stop listening, finised in about 5 days. First romance I read as a teenager. I've always kept a paperback in my house but I'm quite busy lately. So glad Audible carries Jude Deveraux!

What did you like best about this story?

I love the characters and that the story was told in such a way that I felt like my heart was going to break each time the lead characters did.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The time's in the book where they had to part ways had my heart aching and almost moved me to tears...almost.

Any additional comments?

I seen a few reviews that commented on the lead female character and that she was weak. I agree that she was in the beginning. However I doubt very few people can say that at some point in their life they didn't look back at something they said or had done that wasn't weak or naive. Especially when it comes to love or trust.
I almost didn't buy this book due to those reviews but I am very glad I did. Great Story!

This book just transports you back in time. Wonderful story and the reader did an awesome job.

No. This book i think is best printed. The narrated version got on my nervs many times.

Evry time Dougless interrupted Nicholas whit a woman, in the past and present time. That made me laugh.

Dougless is at times annoying. She has no backbone. She never stand up for her self, and that almost made me want to stop listen to the book, but i give it a chance, and i was glad, because, overall the book is god. The storyline is fantastic, so it was worth the credit.

I’m sobbing but happy

I devoted the past week listening to this book and now here I am sobbing as I have just finished it. Their story was at times frustrating but I was hooked the whole time. What a man Nicholas Stanford is. Never have I been so interested in the Elizabethan time period but man. Please give it a read.
