Not bad. Names confusing

The names really poor confusing. Having Douglas and Nicolas a female and male constantly made me miss the next sentence is trying to figure out if this was a girl or the guy. And that was throughout the whole story. I think it would have simply been easier to follow had there been a female name instead of a guys name for

A romantic fantasy novel

I enjoyed the storyline. It was a little far fetched, but it was a fantasy novel that was romantic and shows that love always stays with you and within your soul. I would have enjoyed a female narrator besides the one and only male narrator that narrated both male and female dialogue. Other than that, it was a nice story. I would recommend to others.

I've read it several times over the years and still love it! I highly reccomend!!

Stop the tears

I was enjoying the book for the most part. Where I stopped liking it was the 4 days of crying. I also never really got into the narrator. I really liked Nicholas as a character.

Still my favorite book!

I was a teenager when I read this book for the first time...and fell in love with it. Over the years I've had to buy 2 replacement copies, and now here I am buying it on audio. The only thing that bothered me was that the narrators performance of the feminine sounded a little drag queen ish, but nothing I couldn't get past.

Hope and Love

I've have read this book in the past and enjoyed the audio book just as much. The transformation of the desperate and submissive main character to a woman of confidence and hope is a compelling and powerful love story. The naration seemed perfect. It's one of my favorites.

Beautiful story.

Loved this book, it was funny, strong and a wonderful listen. I would recommend this to any romance believer. The ending was the best.

Good story but needed two narrators

Loved this when I first read it in the 90s, so I had to download and give it a listen. The narrator did a good job with Nicolas but not with Dougless. When I read the book, I saw Dougless as sensitive but stronger than she knew. The narrator made her sound very whiny and pitiful. It was the standard male take on female sensitivity.

Good beach read!

It’s very long but well worth your time. There is mystery, romance, humor and more! Enjoy!

Probably only to someone who reads all the time and likes this author

Would you recommend A Knight in Shining Armor to your friends? Why or why not?

I read great reviews and love this author so was excited to listen to it. I travel a lot for work so go through at least 2 audio books a week. This was a fun read but there are other time travel books I have enjoyed more and this was not up to par with many other of Dude Deveraux's books. I am in the minority on this however. Many people rave about it so I would say listen for yourself and decide.
