Publisher's summary

After freeing Hillsboro, Jason thought life could settle down for him and his family. Then Knoxville captured two of Hillsboro’s citizens and demanded a ransom. Unfortunately for Knoxville, they were Jason’s friends.

He sets out to rescue Rodney and Billy from the clutches of the Chairman, the strong man of Knoxville. He can get to them, but how do they get out? Jason has to go to extreme measures to insure their escape. The result is a conflict with the other town which leads to a deadly threat that Jason must find a way to stop.

In this exciting follow up to Uprising, Jason and Kevin Cameron must come up with a creative plan to stop a superior force from destroying Hillsboro and all they have accomplished.

Feel Good type apocalypse story

The main character is good. The only thing about this series is you kinda know while listening to it, the good guys always will. Which is ok, but isn’t a thrilling read.

A bridge too far?

The story here is interesting, but was hard for me to swallow in some respects. Two men sneak into an armed camp, take the lead guy hostage, tape a shotgun to his neck, and free two captives? It was hard to see that happening, but the author brought it off in believable fashion. The heart of the book is the chase by the Knoxville gang and the response by Hillsboro. I enjoyed the book. Again, good guys get killed, but none that you care about. I enjoyed the outcome.

Great story. Can’t wait for the next book!

Book had a lot of action and attention to detail of military equipment being used that hadn’t been apart of the first two books which I won’t spoil.

Author really makes you hate that Raymond city council guy.
