Victory Over the Darkness emphasizes the importance of believing and internalizing the cardinal truths of Scripture as a base from which to renew the mind and fend off Satan's relentless attempt to convince us that we are less than Christ empowers us to be.

This book is a wonderful book introducing the Steps to Freedom in Christ. Neil Anderson narrated his own book so you definately know what the author was expressing during the writings. I recommend this book to anyone struggling with circumstances and life in general. This book will explain why and how these feelings rise in someone and how to regain the peace and faith in God.
I was educated into oblivion but have overcome it and am having a wonderful life
I've listened twice and I expect to listen a few more times shortly. Why? Well, something in the telling of it really brought home that I don't need to try to be what I already am: God's child. Hallelujah!
the best tagline for this book: For God's Children: Stop trying to be what you already are
I read the paperback first but my sister was have trouble making time to read the book. So we got this audio download. Loved it. It followed the book closely and I did not feel like there was much skipped from the book in the audio though it is listed as abridged.
Enjoyed hearing Truth. Made my heart sing.
Neil read it in a conversational tone. That made it easy to listen to, even in one seating.
I have this book in paperback, so this audio is a review for me. It was comforting and renewing to internalize again. In a conversational tone, (with a few chuckles along the way), Dr. Anderson reminds you WHO YOU ARE in Christ, which enables you to "fight the good fight". It's like having him sitting in your living room with you or having a cup of coffee with him at your dining room table. I recommend it to all Christians. After reading this book the first time, I had an online conversation with a sister who obviously had not heard these things at her church. In the course of the conversation, she commented, "well who do you think I am, some princess, or something?" My answer was, "not in and of yourself, but by virtue of who you are in Christ, yes, you are a princess". Some of the chapter titles: "Who are you?" "Forever different" "See Yourself for Who You Really Are" "Something Old, Something New" "Becoming the Spiritual Person You Want to Be" "The Power of Positive Believing" "You Can't Live Beyond What You Believe" "Winning the Battle for Your Mind" "Healing Emotional Wounds from Your Past".
This is not a book on spiritual warfare, per se, but if it interests you, he has written "The Bondage Breaker" and "The Beginner's Guide to Spiritual Warfare", among others.
Neil Anderson is wise to narrate his own work. His gift of conversation makes for a delightful listen. At first I thought the content wasn't what I needed at this time. But as I continued I found it to be perfect and more informative than my first impression. Great read. And yes, I'd listen to it again and again even though I already have done so. :-)
Anderson's ability to cover broad base of information and tie it all together; his explanations to get points across
Superb conversational presentation. It's as if Anderson is in your living room talking to you over a cup of coffee. Enjoyable listening experience.
Yes. As a matter of fact, I listened to it 3 times in one day. :-)
