I ordered this before ordering Rabbi Cooper's other book 'The Mystical kabbalah' They is great! They 'is' great because 'they' is the same book.
The Mystical Kabbalah gives an overview of the Jewish Mystical practice of Kabbalah and includes 10 meditations to provide an experiental as well as theoretical understanding of the material.
This is those 10 meditations sold seperately. I must say I was quite angry upon discovering this, and really felt that it should have been included in the product description. That being said they are good meditations, but dont make my mistake and buy both.
A Great book. You do not have to be of a particular religion to enjoy and reap the benefits that this book offers. This book helps you make peace with yourself and everyone you know or meet. More than just a meditaion book. A book you will want share with others.
A great intro to Kabbalah meditation! This author transcends the religious faith of the Jews and and creates a warm spiritual journey for all faiths. The Kabbalah is the ultimate source of spiritual guidance and information about our existence. Ancient wisdom for a new age!
I liked the tone and clarity of David Cooper`s voice. I enjoyed the different meditations very much and feel that I can listen to them many times and deepen my self understanding and in regards to my jewdaism I feel it deepens my connection to it. Congratulations I wished I had the chance to listen to it many years a go, in my Guru devotee years. Thank you for reaching into our own roots.
Sincerely Yocheved Katz
"A gentle introduction"
The narration was a little bit monotonous and slow; a few shifts in pace or tone would be good.
One big distraction was the way the organisation of the chapters was managed. You have to listen to a lot of introduction before you reach each meditation. After a first listen I feel it is important to be able to easily search for the beginning of each meditation. I found myself getting stressed while awaiting the guided meditations.
The book, yes, the audiobook not so much.
All one pace and tone, though he has a gentle voice
The 4 meditations have offered me new perspectives though I am not entirely new to kabbalah. They are well written, accessible, life-affirming and challenge us to receive our own insights and the voice of intuition.
I will know untill i have heard the CD and not before thank you but not at this time
