As Sproul puts it, "The crucial issue of infusion versus imputation remains irreconcilable. We are either justified by a righteousness that is in us or by a righteousness that is apart from us. There is no third way." Indeed, eternity is at stake. This is a topic that should not be ignored.

    Story
"Fallen and sinful min are justified by faith alone"

Sproul's exegetical genius is compounded further by his theological expertise in this magnum opus. The protestant model of salvation, espoused to be Sola fide, is Gospel centered and Sproul's pen clearly establishes (and reestablishes) this point. This text is a must for the layperson investigating the sovereignty of the Lord. I'd hear the performance over and over again. Along with the obvious text, The Holy Bible—John Piper's "The Justification of God: An Exegetical and Theological Study of Romans 9:1-23" is an excellent companion to this book. The vocal performance of the text enhances what would normally be considered dry if read traditionally in one sitting. It's not recommended that this text be listened to while multitasking, give the text some focused time for notes and reflection.
