God does what it takes to get our attention. It’s the message of the Bible. It’s the message of this book: the relentless pursuit of God. God on the hunt. God in the search. Peeking under the bed for hiding kids, stirring the bushes for lost sheep. Searching, wrestling, pulling us back to him, over and over again. Kind, then stern. Tender and tough. Faithfully firm. Patiently urgent. Eagerly tolerant. Softly shouting. Gently thundering.God is the pilot and we are the passengers. Though we may not understand his hand, we can always trust his heart. We can trust him to do what’s right.A Gentle Thunder is for every reader who needs a reminder of God’s love, an assurance of his strength, and an example of his kindness.

Well narrated, points well made with great examples & lots of scripture to back it up! Will enjoy listening to it again!
I intend to keep this audio so I can listen to it again and again.
I couldn't listen to the whole book in one sitting...I needed to pause every now and then to ponder and digest what Max had been discussing. Thought provoking, Scripture based and sound Biblical teaching.
The narrator's voice I found soothing and easy to listen to. Any future books with this narrator (who is not the author, Max) I wouldn't hesitate to buy and listen to.
Max Lucado has an extraordinary gift that once you start one of his books you dont want to rest until you finish it. And best of all, when he talks I hear God whispering in my ears. God bless you my friend.
