A beautiful book a lot of information to hell us grow as individuals, as couples, with kids or without. I learn more and more from the Gordon’s

Vulnerable stories told with honesty and grace

I was hooked when I found out early in the book that Kathryn and I were born in the same city (actually, the same hospital)! It takes real vulnerability to put your personal life and marriage out there in the world. Kathryn and Jon did it with honesty, grace, and ease while authentically sharing would so many of us would prefer to keep hidden from others. Sharing our stories and lessons, though, is what leads to collective healing.

One of my favorite tips was the idea of team meetings. While I can't help but feel like our family has missed the boat as they outlined them, the suggestion gave me renewed incentive to make sure that our family dinners (which are becoming numbered!) include this focused time together.

While all of their tips were good, Kathryn's "shared vision" and Jon's "shared mission", spoke to me the most at this time in my marriage. It was the extra push I need to continue to work on this in our relationship. Relationship Grit is a book that I'll likely listen to over and over.

Another great book from John Gordon. I love that his wife joined him in the narration. It was so good to hear practical examples of how Grit is important in relationships and marriage.

First I would recommend this book to my wife. It might save our relationship if we both work together each lesson.
Then to other friends that are married, in order to save them some trouble on the way.
