This book really covers all of the bases, and it is useful if you are completely new to chickens/chicken raising.
Everything from the basics down to details on how to keep your chickens healthy.
I recommend this audiobook.

FANTASTIC guide for beginners!

Excellent book to obtain an insight of what keeping chickens involves. It doesn't cover all the nuances of keeping chickens because there are too many to cover in one book, but it does offer you a general idea of what you should know so you may subsequently conduct your own in-depth research. I adore this book and the way it was written. highly suggestible!

I heart chickens!

I never knew there was so much to know about raising a chicken. I just like to eat them normally! But I will say the work I to healthy chickens is quite tiresome. even from listening to this book. I don't know if I could ever do it but I still enjoy the tastiness of them. I am curious do different breads of chicken taste differenly?!?

Great Book for People Like Me

Admittedly, I had no clue where to start and what to do when it comes to developing a coop and raising chickens. This book gives you a step-by-step plan to get started and why you should do what you need to do. When it comes to coops for example, the author explains why you need a coop and why wood coops make sense. Even the benefit of having wheels on your coop.

I never really knew much about nesting boxes either, for example. For someone like me, this book gave me what I needed to get started raising chickens and how to get eggs from your chickens. There's not a lot of fluff in this audiobook, every word seems essential to your success. Well done.

This simple-to-understand and learn book on raising chickens is perfect for beginners who know little or nothing about this type of farming. I grew up with chickens in our compound and I know how much I enjoyed picking eggs in the morning. As a child, I only knew about all the fun parts but this book explains clearly all that is required to succeed in raising chickens. Once you are ready to start your coop, get this book!

There’s more to chickens than you think!

This is an outstanding book. It starts out with the history of chicken farming which was quite enlightening. It was a great idea to explain chicken terminology in the earlier part of the book; it really did help me understand and follow the text. It is amazing to hear about the differences in the types of chickens - information that we overlook and take for granted.

As someone who grew up in the countryside, I really loved this book. It is really well-written and presented. Not only does it cover all the relevant facts about chicken farming, but it is also written in an interesting, accessible way – engaging and easy to understand. Highly recommended.

Great for Beginners

This audiobook is packed with information about chickens and their food and breeds. You learn what you can’t feed them and the environment and temperatures they thrive in. The author also touched how many you should get depending on your specific needs. I thought it was a phenomenal read as someone who knows nothing about raising chickens but wants to learn the RIGHT way to do so.

Well I knew absolutely nothing about raising chickens until I got this book. Such a great source of information for newbies. I now feel confident in getting myself a few chickens.

I really liked the part about learning the different body languages and what they mean. As well as how to learn what they want and need, ensuring you’re really caring for them.
