In Austen’s other novels, the heroine is either single or one of a pair of sisters. In this novel, the main character, Elizabeth Bennet, has five sisters—all of whom are expected to join the hunt for suitable male partners.

Austen considered Elizabeth Bennet one of her most attractive characters, an opinion shared by generations of fans of her work.

I love the multiple narrators

I downloaded another version of this book and found it difficult at times to know who was talking. Some conversations are back and forth without it saying who said what, I found this version and it was perfect. So much easier to follow. The volume of each narrator stayed the same which is not always the case with some audiobooks. Highly recommend this version.

pleasant hours crocheting and chuckling

I confess at 70+ years that i still love the works of Jane Austin. Pleasant hours were spent crocheting and chuckling as I gained greater familiarity of the Bennet household. The narrators were so good, i found myself fully engaged in the story. I particularly enjoyed Ms. Tucker's rendition of Lydia, my least favorite character made more enjoyable. Mrs. Bennet's character was superb. i look forward to the next Austen book read. Thanks so much to cast and crew for all your work.
