Publisher's summary

Life in Alpha World has been a blessing for Alburet, more then he had ever thought it could be, and still more then he thinks he deserves at times. With allies and friends all around him, and the love of three beautiful, unique women, he knows that this might be the best life has to offer.

But all of life has complications, and his are many and varied. A quest from the Overlord requires he level as quickly as he can for the "End Game", or risk losing all the happiness he has found.

While that is difficult enough, more issues keep showing up. The open-ended contract by the Assassins’ Guild on any member of Alpha Company is testing the bonds of those who have joined. Add in the background movements of the Noble Houses to that list to make things even more annoying, but that is still not the end of the troubles. Not the least issue seems to be the machinations of the vague old evil that is stirring again, with its own plans.

With all these issues starting to bear down on Alburet and Alpha Company, he must fight to accomplish the goals needed to keep his loves, all while dealing with his own mental issues.

Welcome back to Alpha World.

Story good, character sheet spam has to go.

Dear Mr. Schinhofen, your insistence on spamming the character sheet at random, uncalled for times has really kneecapped this series for me. I still want to hear the story but the constant random character sheet that the poor narrator has to saw his way through is simply pointless.

Please either stop using it at all or at the very least use it only when there is a need as it PERTAINS TO THE STORY.

For everyone else, this series is fun but for me also has some annoying parts. It's one of the few series that I follow just to see how the supporting characters and world are doing. Because the main characters are either repetitive, boring, frustrating or just poorly executed. To the point that I'd actually be happier without them in the series. I started off getting into them but as the books progressed their stories have just gone to drek. The first book was the best IMO, lots of raunchy fun...then everyone has some mental trauma that they use the sex as a coping mechanism or something else....FFS really?!

And please, God in heaven, make this man ditch the Irish chick. So useless, so hard to listen to the bad accent.

Sorry if this review is harsh Daniel...but think of it as tough love. I really DO like the series. If I didn't I am the sort I just wouldn't bother saying anything.

At least you don't wish a salty citrus based glass of bilge water on me at the end of every book lol.

Still good even with dragging on.

The book is still really good, but it is starting to feel like it is starting to drag on. Though it has done a great job at streamlining what they can do it doesn't drag on.

Amazing installment of the series!

I deeply love all of Daniel Schinhofen’s stories and worlds which he has created and Alpha World is definitely a firm second in my order of how much I love them immediately behind the Binding Words series/world. This installment of the AW story was truly excellent and I loved it from the first word to the last! If you haven’t read the previous 5 books in this series I recommend them without reservation and doubly so for anyone already a fan of the LitRPG or GameLit genres! If you have already read the 5 prior books and enjoyed them then BUY IT NOW! Wait, why are you still reading this and not watching the few seconds of time it takes to download and open the book after you bought it? Seriously GO! There’s a monster at the end of this book!(reference to a set of Sesame Street children’s books my mom read to me as a kid)

Great Book

Another Excellent step along the road to the conclusion to this excellent series. The characters are wonderful and complex I love them all. The plot is varied and intricate. And the narration by Peter Berkrot is as usual spot on!

Sick Of Fluff

tired of all the fluff centered dialogue. there is progression but its weird and at this point i start skipping forward to get past those parts. It adds nothing to the story and just sounds whiny. This may be the lowest I've rated a book to date.

Still good

If a series is still good after so many books it has a lot going for it.

Better But Sick of Fluffball

Looks like Dainel took the criticism of books 4 and 5 and finally got back to the story instead of cuddles, soft kisses, and constant orgies with the MCs succubus harem and the stupid bullahit not VRMMO story. It's still sprinkled in there but not nearly as bad as the last two books. Still extremely sick of Fluffball as a character and the constant sexual focus on her. It's creepy and not enjoyable or deep in the slightest. Keep your taking advantage of a vulnerable woman furry white knight neckbeard bullshit on your blog.

Big improvement and the actual game story as the party makes their way to the city of Peace is excellent and the only reason I still listen to this series. Also Imp Storm is great!

Great novel but...

It feels like it was as if it had been a larger work but instead was broken in half. I’m a bit disappointed where it left off and that I have to wait until the next novel to see the current storyline reach completion.

The above being said I enjoyed it quite a bit and liked how it resolved thing from the previous novel. I'm looking forward to the next book to see how these plot lines get wrapped up.
