Loved it!

This was such a a good book from the beginning to the end. My only negative comments would come at the very end. I can believe being sad to find out someone you have always loved isn't who you think, but loving them despite the horrible unforgivable things they did to you and people you love is just bull. Also, after all that happened, I don't think many people would have been hating on either sister.

Oh, so good!

I stumbled across this book while browsing and it’s probably my favorite of the books I’ve read/listened to all year. Kept me guessing and took sharp turns when I wasn’t expecting it—loved it! The narrator/performer was AMAZING. I’ll be back for some more by this author and this narrator. 😃

I stumbled onto this author recently, and I have totally enjoyed her books. I love the characters too.

100 Percent Home Run!

Honestly, I was nervous about this because I had never heard of this author until now. Truth be told, I chose this book because I was looking for more thrillers that were narrated by Georgia McGuire because I think she is phenomenal. Well I was not disappointed! Far from it, in fact!

This book was refreshing and different. It kept me guessing at first... is he a good guy or is he a bad guy? Once I had my answer, it was nearly impossible to put down! I was hanging on every word, scene, and emotion as I listened to it unfold. I thought about it throughout my day and couldn't wait for the next few minutes I could steal to hear more. I even took my earbuds into the staff breakroom so I could listen while on my lunch break! (I apologized to others for being so unsociable.)

*POSSIBLE SPOILERS*
I don't want to give too much away, but I have to say I like how this book was suspenseful but in a different way because everything was revealed earlier on in the story. The last half of the book focused on Elodie's circumstances and how that was all going to play out. And I found that to be a refreshing change from everything being revealed in the last chapter or two of the book and tied together in a nice little bow. I felt every emotion, right up to the last few sentences of the book, and it was like a roller coaster ride throughout! This, coupled with not one, but TWO, excellent narrators, made this a marriage to behold! I will look for other books read by these two magnificent performers, for sure!

It is usually very hard to get a five star rating out of me, because I reserve them for books that I think are, or will become, epic tales. Books that I will think about for weeks afterwards and will eventually read again in the future. Well I don't know if this will become an "epic tale" or not, but I can tell you it fits the last two boxes! So this book is getting a precious five stars from this seasoned reader, and I can't wait to read more by this author!

Very Entertaining!

I don’t understand the negative comments because I thought this was very thrilling and worth the credit! Some people…… Anyway this book kept me interested all the way through. I didn’t want to shut it off so I listened to the whole thing in one sitting. I kept wondering how the author was going to pull off the ending. The ending was marvelous in many ways and a little sad as well.
