This book grabbed my attention from the beginning. It was a short enjoyable listen. Shade was desperate to have Anya so he would not be lost to lust madness and he wanted her to be his bride. Anya has reasons she cannot accept but is unable to tell him why. Honey Scarlett and Leeroy Will did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed this intriguing entertaining story. Great world building. Fast paced ,drama angst, and loads of lust . I love that Slade is desperate to have Anya and she's just as determined to avoid him because of her secret. Will fate help get th8s couple together??? Check it out. Great Story & Narration🎧 Enjoyable & Captivating!
This is a great book, the story swept me right in, immediately grabbing my attention and holding it straight to the end. This is my first book written by Belle Scarlett and it will not be my last, I enjoyed her writing style and the fascinating and imaginative storylines, characters and world she created. This is a fantasy paranormal romance, I loved how much story she fit into her novella sized book and how she fit some Greek Mythology in there. Alpha King Shade chose his future bride, Senator Anya Fortune, but she is resistant and it is not because there is no chemistry between them. She has her reasons but she can not share it. This book is cleverly plotted and there is never a dull moment, there is plenty of drama, a bit of angst, some heartfelt and emotional moments and some hot romance. Belle Scarlett, thank you for this great story.
Honey Scarlett and Leeroy Will are talented narrators and voice artists.
They bring the characters to life, giving each their own distinct voice and personality. Their portrayal of the characters is perfection, in addition to truly grasping their persona they capture their emotions which is reflected in their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen🎧

Outstanding on all levels
I really dislike giving any spoilers (and those reviewers who do, fie for shame) so I won't go into any plot details except to say by the end the listener understand the barrier there was to this unique couple's love. Interesting concept, sexy alpha king (!), capable heroine with a mind of her own, and great world-building make this one for my keeper shelf. The duet narration was seamless, and full of hot chemistry, this is a talented duo and I'm going to find their other stories right now.

Alpha King!
This was a quick hot listen. The instant attraction and need the Alpha King had for the heroine was breathtaking. The world set up in this story was different than what I have heard. The not knowing what would happen or what she would decide kept you on edge. Honey and Leeroy do a great job!

Alpha King ~
a very slow start. For this to be a quick listen, it dragged on. I really couldn't get into it until the last hour near the end. I needed more interaction and conflict. More on the Hiram... more on the madness...

Short and sweet
This story was ok. But I think I might have liked it better with different narration. I think it’s cool that this is a husband and wife team. But they are kind of bland. In fact I just stopped listening to a book today because I didn’t like this duo and I just so happened to find them in the next book I downloaded. It sounds like they are reading not being the characters.
The story was quick, which was good, I couldn’t take it if it was longer. It was a true mates sort of deal. But there is a snafu that keeps them apart.

first few chapters felt like listening in history class which put me off the story. the middle of the story it started getting pretty decent, but not awesome. the ending was ok. narrator did a good job. worth the listen if you like short fiction stories with little to no heat.
