Publisher's summary

Princess Snow is missing. Her home planet is filled with violence and corruption at the hands of King Matthias and his wife as they attempt to punish her captors. The king will stop at nothing to get his beloved daughter back - but that's assuming she wants to return at all. Essie has grown used to being cold. Temperatures on the planet Thanda are always sub-zero, and she fills her days with coding and repairs for the seven loyal drones that run the local mines. When a mysterious young man named Dane crash-lands near her home, Essie agrees to help the pilot repair his ship. But soon she realizes that Dane's arrival was far from accidental, and she's pulled into the heart of a war she's risked everything to avoid.

In her enthralling debut, R.C. Lewis weaves the tale of a princess on the run from painful secrets… and a poisonous queen. With the galaxy's future - and her own - in jeopardy, Essie must choose who to trust in a fiery fight for survival.

Caught off guard!

This was such a perfect book! I loved everything about it! I love story retellings! I was blown away! There are a few curse words "bas%@&!" That I can recall but was so happy with this book and ending.
The only wish I had would be a Epilogue of what happened, but I was still so extremely pleased and saddened at this story! It was amazing! I would recommend this amazing book and audiobook!

Dry mouth

The story itself is good, the only negative thing to me is the lady reading sounds like she needs a glass of water. For the first half it sounds like her mouth is dry and she’s trying to make spit. But the second half was better, like she finally got that glass of water. If you can stick with it and make it past that it’s good.

Liked it

A fun retelling of Snow White. I actually cared about these characters, even down to the cute, faithful androids.

great snow white adaptation

It had a lot of original snow white elements nicely woven in to a futuristic tale.

I was surprised to find I did not like this one. it had so much promise but couldn't deliver in the end. the story was bland and predictable and the performance was not much better.

DNF couldn’t get over narrator voice

This was a tough sell. The narrator sounded like she was wining the whole time. Nope.

Mid

I think the only thing I liked about this book were the little robots. Everything else was just underwhelming.
