Publisher's summary

Quinn

I thought pulling my pack away from Winsford would save us. I never realized how wrong I could be.

After Rowan and I escape Mercer’s hold, we have to get the pack somewhere safe, but my only option is a pride run by a controlling alpha. With everyone safely inside the walls of Winterhaven, Rowan and I attempt to search for the truth, but we’re being hunted and driven further from the answers we need. I want to do everything to protect my mate, but as I learn more about his past, I realize that I might need to protect him from more than just Mercer.

Rowan

I never thought I could embrace this other side of me, especially when I’ve always been taught to hate it.

But Quinn makes me feel alive and happier than I ever thought I’d be after shutting away a part of myself for years. When he’s with me, I feel like we can accomplish anything, and figuring out why Mercer is targeting us is only the first step. However, we could lose everything if we make a single mistake. One thing I know about my mate, though, is that he’s the most determined man I’ve ever met. And I’ll be right by his side as we bring Mercer crashing to the ground.

Of Betrayal and Monsters is an action-filled romance with a dash of comedy. It’s the second book in a series with a continuing storyline and an HFN.

I love this series so much!

I absolutely loved this one, just as much as the first and I really love all the characters.

This might be my next favorite series after Hitman - I just love the group of characters and how hilarious they all are together. Rowan and Quinn are so great together and I love how protective and united the are, and then Ari steals the scenes and I also love Emery and his quiet sass. Just a great bunch of characters.

Greg does an amazing job narrating the series, and his voices and just the energy he brings to all the sass and snark and cat antics are just too perfect. I cannot wait for the audio of the third book!

Captivating Story

I enjoyed the story very much. Of Betrayal and Monsters starts right where book one ends and I was captured by adventures and dangerous circumstances Quinn's pack was faced with. I loved learning more about each character as well as getting a glimpse at the mystery of Mercer's experiments. Narrator did an amazing job with the story and voices for all the characters. This was a great listening experience and I am looking forward to the next story in this world.

Cannot wait to start book 3!

We continue right by Quinn and Rowan’s side! The plot continues as they try to uncover Mercer’s operation, while dealing with having to live under a different pack with an over controlling alpha.
I love how Alice always makes us laugh and how she creates the most amazing worlds. Loved it, and action packed. With some sweetness and sexy times to make it even better.

I need more Quinn and Rowan in my life.

More books with these two please, I'm addicted. The dynamic is great, the narration is on point. I don't want to finish the series because I don't want it to end.

enjoyed it

Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes

📖 Story comment: Good pace, interesting plot with fun and likeable characters.
Story is moving along at a reasonable pace from Book 1, it's a little darker than the first but still contains the usual heart and humor I've come to expect from this Author. I was entertained - it's all I need to be happy!

🎧 Narrator comment: Greg Boudreaux has done a masterful performance bringing the characters and story to life. He has good timing, rhythm, inflections and intonations and it's easy to distinguish the characters from each other.
A thoroughly enjoyable performance from a narrator at the top of his game.

A

What a great performance by the narrator of a great book. This isn't a book you read for the typical alpha story. This book is strong in its dialog and connections with the characters. While you can guess some of the mystery, there is still a lot to discover and it's both fun and suspenseful following the characters as they figure things out. There are developments that I can't wait to see play out in the future. I don't think the next book is out yet but I pray I'm wrong.

Can't put the series down but heavier than usual

**Audiobook Review**

While there is some snark in this series it is a lot more serious and suspenseful than her other series. From what was happening to the shifters, some of whom were taken as children, to what happened to Rowan and his brother in his early years and what their father was still doing and all the death, this one was harder to get through. It is still entertaining but heavier.

Greg Bordeaux does a fantastic job as always…with every single voice and there are many.
