Never afraid to put forward controversial theories if justified by the data, Erich von Daniken here examines the huge amount of accumulated evidence that points to Earth having been subject to countless visits from extraterrestrials for many years. The dawn of a new century, the building of a new space station, and triumphs in the exploration of space have brought greater interest than ever in the possibility of extraterrestrial life. UFO sightings and alleged abductions continue to make headlines across the world, and in America the National Space Administration has an official program to search for and monitor signs of life beyond our solar system. The possibility of visitors from other galaxies has never been stronger. The culmination of long-term research, The Return of the Gods argues that we are very much in the minds and eyes of other cosmic life forms and that, as a result, many of the dramatic historical events and remarkable teachings of religious texts should be reinterpreted---even the idea of Judgment Day itself!

My Opinion's for your review, Thank You!
Absolutely! This book gives you a very cool different perspective on archaeology and religion . It challenges your notion of what the past really has to offer," If you let it". Closed minds wont get this book or the author. I enjoyed every minute of this book and intend to fined every book written by Erich von Daniken and translated into English. The narrator made his book very engaging. If you enjoy challenging what you think you know about the world this book might just be what your looking for, so will all the other books he has written. I hope you enjoy the audio book as much as I did.
I find this unlikely.
I have not, but his performance was the best part of this book.
It's not fantastic. I'd say the chances of enjoying the book are about equal to your chances of finding it trite and annoying.
This guy has a naive and childish view of the human condition, religion, and the situation we find ourselves in at this present time. He tries to boil the complex issues we face as humans as being caused merely by human stupidity, and not the complicated and nuanced factors that are truly at play. He views aliens as our saviors, and in one chapter from their point of view we see that they are equally as naive and short sighted as he is, and share his almost comically bleak view on humanity. This book is comprised almost entirely of vague conjecture. It is about as illuminating as an episode of Ancient Aliens. If that interests you then I'd give it a go. If not you can probably find content of an equal quality for free on youtube.
Yes, there is so much fun/what if/possible reality or truths in this book it really gives you a different perspective on so many things that people take as law. There are so many things that we just take as fact yet the data has been molested a thousand times prior to us receiving the data. This book is a really fun look at prophecy, biblical texts and non Christian religions. I really enjoyed it.
I'm pretty eclectic in my reading taste. I like Fiction, Sci fi, Romance, Self help, Occult. Right now I am on a serious Diana Gaboldon kick
I absolutely loved the way the story was read , voice inflections and how the reader brought to life each person. You feel the emotion and get an absolute clear understanding
Of the story. Excellent !
The black man. And the 3 religious men
