Publisher's summary

Danger swirls in the mists of the Puget Sound.

People are disappearing, the most recent being a young child. Nothing links the victims, except the kidnapper. FBI special agent Dakarai Lakes suspects the victim count will only increase... unless he and his team can stop the criminal.

His team’s newest agent might be their greatest weapon.

Special agent Kevyn Taylor has a reputation as a mind reader. As a licensed clinical psychologist, she’s spent years honing her skills to read and predict human behavior with a high degree of accuracy. She might be the secret weapon they need to get inside the kidnapper’s head - if her rule-bending, renegade tactics don’t drive Dak crazy first.

Then, the first body is found.

The kidnapper is escalating. As more people disappear and more bodies are discovered, the team fights an unseen enemy to stop him before he kills another victim. Because if they fail, the next body found just might be one of their own.

Nameless, the suspenseful first book in the Sinister Secrets trilogy, is a Christian novel exploring the power of loneliness, friendship, and faith-filled living. Get the audiobook today!

A Great Christian Suspense book!

This is the first book in a three book series by author Candle Sutton. Nameless takes place in Seattle and the Pugent Sound. A young child has disappeared. The FBI team assigned to the case is in the middle of hostage negotiations trying to get back one of their kidnapped agents who is working on the case, when a new agent assigned to the team shows up unexpectedly at the scene during the negotiations and kind of takes over. I immediately liked this new agent...she has spunk, confidence, courage, and charisma. From the first chapter as you get to know the other members of the team, the story grabs you in. Once I started listening, I couldn't stop listening as I went throughout my day. The story has lots of twists and surprising turns and will keep you engaged in the story throughout the book.

This is the first book I have read (listened to) by author Candle Sutton. I really enjoyed it and look forward to listening to the next book in the series. The narrator, Brittany Goodwin, has a very pleasant voice and does a great job narrating the book.

I highly recommend Nameless. It is a great audiobook that will keep you listening and guessing till the end!

A Masterpiece Indeed

The story is skillfully plotted with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing.
This suspense novel deserves more than 5 stars. You’ll have a hard time putting it down.

Very Enjoyable

The story moves along at a good pace, keeping your attention. Characters and storyline are believable and likable.

I am so glad Candle is starting to put her books on Audible. I have wanted to read them but enjoy listening rather than reading as I easily get eye strain. Looking forward to Faceless coming out!

Excellent

A good Christian suspense plot from the beginning. FBI are at a hostile situation, a man’s daughter is missing and he has taken an agent. They have had many people missing in Northern Washington She has once again given us a plot with good narration that is carried to the end, well done.

wonderful, and suspenseful!

if you want to read something that is simply brought to life by wonderful narration, this definitely fits the bill! The narrator does a great job of her character voices, and her accents. She really makes these characters seem real and believable.

absolutely wonderful! This is the first book by this author I have read. If you are a fan of Terry Blackstock, then you will add this author to your list. Candle not only gives us a wonderful story, but it is a great start to the series. The characters are absolutely wonderful and you grow to care for them and have concern for them. A team of FBI agents who are trying to track down a kidnapper and murderer. While doing this, they are trying to save the lives of two women, one man, and a child. The suspense level starts low, and slowly builds throughout the book. Although the suspense level may start low, it is continuous! This book definitely will feed your curiosity level. candle, also does a wonderful job of weaving scripture into the story. She does it in a realistic, practical way. I can’t wait to get the next book.

great story and performance but...

really enjoyed the story and the performance was great too. my only complaint is whoever finalized the performance did a cut at most breaths. hard to explain but I kept feeling breathless until I figured it out.

Christian Suspense keeps you turning pages

This is my first book I've read by Candle Sutton. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

From the very first page, Ms. Sutton had me hooked. I enjoyed the character development of both Daq and Kev. Book 1 gives you just enough and makes you want to know more. The story line was solid, intense and filled with suspense.

In book 1, FBI agents under the supervision of Daq need to find who is taking people, both men and women. His latest victim is a child. Kev is a profiler and new to Daq's crew. She knows time is running out. Will Kev be able to work with her new teammates in time to save the little girl?

This is the first time I've heard Brittany Goodwin. She does a lot of things well. Her Aussie accent is fun. She easily handles both male and female voices and keeps the listener's attention. Unfortunately, I found the overall delivery to be a little startling. I really wanted her storytelling to draw me in, but every time I started to lean in, I was immediately tossed out due to the loud delivery. I'd rate this performance with 3.5 stars. With a bit of tweaking with the volume of delivery, I know this performance could be a 5 star. I will definitely listen to more performances by Ms. Goodwin, just probably not this series.

Mature Content: no graphic sex, language or violence
Moving Rating PG-13 (due to subject)

Nameless

This was a clean thriller based in the Seattle area, about a female FBI agent that went undercover to catch a serial killer! I really enjoyed the audiobook!

EXCELLENT!!

I totally loved this book. It moved along at a good pace. There were a few loose ends that I wish were tied up at the end. The author did a great job with the action and suspense. And the narrator was amazing! Her Aussie accent was the best! I look forward to more books by this author!
