Surprised

I like some military type books not really my type books, but my aunt turned me onto this author. I really enjoyed the John Puller series and loved the narrators and love the sound effects..just awesome never listened to books like this

Exciting!

Very exciting story- enjoyed the suspense, thrilling storyline.
I listened to it during my commute to and from work.

Pretty Good First Installment

The story was medium paced as there are a number of characters to develop but the stories main character gets it sorted out. I thought it was a good listen, the narration was good and overall it was entertaining.

Great story.

Baldacci is a very good author. I love this and the Memory Man series. I strongly recommend

Pretty good

A good Puller novel. I enjoyed the twists and turns for the most part. The ones I didn’t like, I understood. Sometimes something has to happen that isn’t expected. It was a good read.

Cut the Music

Excellent performance by readers but a couple of chapters have extremely annoying background music which detracts from the experience. I was listening in my car and at first thought there was something wrong with my phone or car audio system. The music is supposed to add drama but instead it is super distracting. fortunately it is primarily in only 1 chapter then scattered around. Overall the story was good and moved along nicely.

EPIC

Classic Baldacci! Nobody does character and plot quite like him. Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy are some of my favorite narrators. They were absolutely flawless.

Baldacci never disappoints, but . . .

Zero Day delivers everything I have come to expect from Baldacci: a thought-provoking story with enough suspense to keep me listening to the very end. The characters are well developed with only a couple of lapses into stereotypes for minor characters. Ron McLarty is an excellent narrator. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Orlagh Cassidy. Baldacci describes the voice of Sam Cole, the female lead, as "husky" and "attractive." This conjured an auditory image of Lauren Bacall. Instead, Cassidy offers a fingernails- on-chalkboard screech that set my teeth on edge. I thought this might just be her idea of a West Virginia accent, but she used the same voice for the D.C. general and the forensic expert. It came close to ruining the whole listening experience for me. I will continue to listen to Baldacci, but nothing with Orlagh Cassidy narrating.

Interesting story, great performance ... Readers with memories of recent military history will find relevant connections to the book.
