Publisher's summary

Whether it’s monkey business, funny business, or getting down to business, Janet Evanovich’s Lizzy and Diesel series proves that there’s no business like Wicked Business....

Lizzy Tucker’s once normal life as a pastry chef in Salem, Massachusetts, turns upside down as she battles both sinister forces and an inconvenient attraction to her unnaturally talented but off-limits partner, Diesel.

When Harvard University English professor and dyed-in-the-wool romantic Gilbert Reedy is mysteriously murdered and thrown off his fourth-floor balcony, Lizzy and Diesel take up his 20-year quest for the Luxuria Stone, an ancient relic believed by some to be infused with the power of lust.

Following clues contained in a cryptic 19th-century book of sonnets, Lizzy and Diesel tear through Boston catacombs, government buildings, and multimillion-dollar residences. On their way they’ll leave behind a trail of robbed graves, public disturbances, and general mayhem.

Diesel’s black sheep cousin, Gerwulf Grimoire, also wants the Stone. His motives are far from pure, and what he plans on doing with the treasure, no one knows... but Lizzy Tucker fears she’s in his crosshairs. Never far and always watching, Grimoire has a growing, vested interest in the cupcake-baker-turned-finder-of-lost-things - as does another dangerous and dark opponent in the hunt, a devotee of lawlessness and chaos known only as Anarchy.

Treasures will be sought, and the power of lust will be unmistakable as Lizzy and Diesel attempt to stay ahead of Anarchy, Grimoire, and his medieval minion, Hatchet, in this ancient game of twisted riddles and high-stakes hide-and-seek.

Wickedly Right On

Would you consider the audio edition of Wicked Business to be better than the print version?

Probably. I went to a book signing with Janet and picked up the book and I'm looking forward to reading it soon.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Wicked Business?

In the sewer.

What does Lorelei King bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Lorelei is AWESOME and the main reason I continue to get this on audio. She can truly change the character so you almost think you're watching a movie version.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Wickedly Delicious

Relaxing fun

I have both read and listened to this book several times. It has enough to keep me interested, laugh out loud on occasion, and appropriate for my teenager to listen with me in the car. Eagerly awaiting the next book, this is number 2 of 3 and one of my favorites. Janet Evanovich doesn't disappoint!

Love or Lust

While I am a huge fan of Janet Evanovich's this book tended to drag a little. It still held sharp humor and kept you guessing to the very end but there where long periods that dragged on.

Absolutely AWESOME!

If you could sum up Wicked Business in three words, what would they be?

Down Right Hilarious!!!

Which character – as performed by Lorelei King – was your favorite?

I just have to pick one? I loved them all. I love Lorelei King. She is by far my favorite narrator. You can easily tell which character is which which makes it easier to follow along.

Any additional comments?

I love how funny this book was. Lorelei King does an excellent job narrating. I cannot wait for the third in this series!

Wicked Business

I enjoyed the storyline, it was great. I was concerned when Antarctica was going to burn down Lizzy’s house. Thank goodness Wolf got her out of the fire and waited for her until the paramedics came, and he said now we are even. Even score! Never seen him, but I hear Diesel is a hunk! Was concerned that Pearl got her hair burned. And Marly was worried also.

Was ok, but not the best

What other book might you compare Wicked Business to and why?

Just not Stephanie Plum, no other answer

Have you listened to any of Lorelei King’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Lorelei King is awesome, so it really doesn't matter what she reads
