Publisher's summary

As former D.C cop Mace Perry investigates a mysterious high-profile homicide in a last-ditch attempt to get her badge back, she finds herself on a collision course with the dark side of national security in this New York Times best seller.

Mason "Mace" Perry was a firebrand cop on the D.C. police force until she was kidnapped and framed for a crime - and then spent two years in prison. Now she's back on the outside and focused on one mission: to be a cop once more. Her only shot to be a true blue again is to solve a major case on her own. But even with her police chief sister on her side, she'll have to work in the shadows: A vindictive U.S. attorney will stop at nothing to send Mace back to jail. Enter Roy Kingman....

A young D.C. lawyer, Roy meets Mace after the murder of one of the firm's female partners. Soon Roy and Mace are investigating together - and uncovering surprising secrets from both the private and public sectors of the nation's capital.

Another Winner from Baldacci

Good story line. Easy to follow. Ron McLarty's good, but character transition was monotone at times.

A True Baldacci episode never disappoints.

I am happy Mr. Baldacci is such a prolific writer. I read his novel "The Sixth Man" during Super Storm Sandy and have most of his novels in my Audible library. He always takes time to develop new characters, a unexpected plot twist and satisfying ending. The narrator compliments his work totally. I just purchased his latest novel "The Fix" and I am anxious to start listening.

Real good read

Where does True Blue rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is a great book to listen to, especially while driving. Story keeps you interested. Not his best book, but definitely worth adding to your collection.

What was one of the most memorable moments of True Blue?

I think overall the relationship of the sisters. It is very believable.

What does Ron McLarty bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He does a good job of making you visualize each of the characters. After a little bit you can tell which character is speaking without any naming of the person.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I never listen to a book all at once. I listen while driving, be it 20 minutes or 3 hours.

I like the story

I really liked the story and characters however the track skips in places it sounds like there is missing pieces of sentences.

Good story

I enjoyed this book. It was quick and entertaining. The story was complicated enough to keep my interest.

Slow to start but then difficult to put down..

It took a bit to get into this book but once there. Magic. Love Ron McCarty"s narratives. One of my favorites.

Good but not.as good as others of his books

Fast paced, I felt like I needed a character list! The sisters’ relationship was great.
