Best-selling author John Sandford takes all the action and suspense of his acclaimed Prey novels and heads west to the dark gleam of L.A.- where the Night Crew works. A mobile unit of video freelancers, they prowl the midnight streets to sell to the highest network bidder. Murders. Robberies. High-speed chases. For them, it is an exhilerating life. But tonight, two deaths will change everything.

This was a good book as always. The ending caught me off guard. John Sandford never lets you down. Write more, faster....Love the books love Richard Ferone, he reads very well. Good book.
Everything, could not be better.
Yes it did make me laugh, but was also scary.
Not a great story, not a bad story, just vaguely unsatisfying. The characters were not particularly well defined or likeable. The plot seemed typical Sandford. Just sort of meh. Not sure I would listen to another one if this set of characters develops into an independent series.
As usual Richard Ferrone is perfect. I love all of John Sandford's "Prey" books and was excited to find another book by him that I had not listened to. I can't even get past a hour of listening. I quit. This book is bordering of just plain silly! Maybe it gets exciting and starts to make sense further on but I'm way to disappointed and bored to go any further. Going to ask for a refund on this one.
Follow the night crew as John appears to be starting a new series. This one will keep you guessing and hooked.
The set up was good, the characters interesting, but then Sanford flails about until the end. The problem is the range of possible that guys is pretty small, yet our good guys can't hold salient details in their heads long enough to ferret him out. She can't even say for sure if the killer is not her ex-boyfriend even though she encounters the killer in good light, hears his voice and wrestles with him. Mask or no, this is an easy ID. There's no good reason this is a challenging case, thus to spin it out evidence has to be ignored and characters have to be dumb. Disappointing.
Cannot believe it was written by John Sandford. I will not ever read another Sandford book without Virgil Flowers. I am returning this book! I only read the first few chapters.
