Audie Award Winner, Thriller/Suspense, 2014
From David Baldacci - number-one best-selling author and one of the world's most popular, widely read storytellers - comes the most thrilling novel of the year.
Will Robie is a master of killing.
A highly skilled assassin, Robie is the man the U.S. government calls on to eliminate the worst of the worst - enemies of the state, monsters committed to harming untold numbers of innocent victims.
No one else can match Robie's talents as a hitman...no one, except Jessica Reel. A fellow assassin, equally professional and dangerous, Reel is every bit as lethal as Robie. And now, she's gone rogue, turning her gun sights on other members of their agency.
To stop one of their own, the government looks again to Will Robie. His mission: bring in Reel, dead or alive. Only a killer can catch another killer, they tell him.
But as Robie pursues Reel, he quickly finds that there is more to her betrayal than meets the eye. Her attacks on the agency conceal a larger threat, a threat that could send shockwaves through the U.S. government and around the world.

Great book and the performance of Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy the story keep me going back for more. I like the characters Mr Baldacci has created in not just this book but also the books with Agent Puller.
It was acceptable, but toward the end I lost interest. By the time they trying to thwart an international incident, I was only hanging on to see whodunit. And the denouement dragged on so that I was literally listening with one ear, having other conversations, and waiting did the credits to roll.
This is the second book and is as good a listen as the first.the narration is very well done. Again I must use so many words before I can publish my review. This is redi ilium.
The narration on this audiobook is ok, not great, but what I am having trouble with are the sound effects - sirens, broken glass, bombs, gunfire....it is annoying and detracts from the story. The story moves very slowly....I had to start and stop multiple times, which is very unusual for me. That may be due to the sound effects - I listened to a point, and found myself so irritated I put it away for a couple of days. Definitely not a good value on this one.
Like most of David Baldacci's novels, this was riveting and exciting. I liked it a lot. I recommend this book to all of Baldacci's fans.
