Publisher's Summary

James Qwilleran and his famous felines, Koko and Yum Yum, are back for another mystery-solving stint in the beloved best-selling Cat Who series.

While the town of Pickax is swept up in its sesquicentennial celebrations, Koko has developed a strange new hobby: He drops himself from balconies, occasionally landing in the oddest of places. When a young man comes to visit his wealthy relatives, Koko plummets straight onto his head!

Meanwhile, a hurricane is brewing, and the visitor's family members soon fall deathly ill. Qwill has his work cut out for him as Pickax, as foreshadowed by Koko, is about to be hit by a bombshell.

    "Disappointing"

I don't know who is writing this series now, but this book and the last were soooo disappointing. I will probably stop reading the series. The first part of the series was so good, this book was a very pale imitation. I guess all good things must come to an end.

"Another great story from the Quill pen!"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

    absolutely
It is so refreshing to visit pickax and my husband and I do this many times over the tears.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Cat Who Dropped a Bombshell?

when Quill reads his poems. He wrote many tears before.

What does George Guidall bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

You feel you are sitting next to him in a room and he is talking to you not reading to you. He has narrated almost all if not all of the CAT stories and. Is telling you like you are long time friends.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    Laugh and cry

    Any additional comments?

my husband had a heart attack in 1995 and had a difficult time relaxing and getting to sleep and I started to read to him when we went to bed trying to find good, quiet place stories. We both got hooked on Lillian Jackson Braun and have read the stories over and over. We would like to start from the beginning and read on....

"True to Her Superb Knack for Intrigue and Humor"

I have read all of the Cat Who series again and again and listened to them as well. Once again Ms. Braun is true to Qwill and the cats. Her portrayal of their hijinks with a bit of tongue-in-cheek is delightful, an engaging and memorable listen. I recommend this book wholeheartedly!

"Cats who know they are people"

Those humans such as ourselves know that we are well trained by our humans. That is why I love listening to the series about two wonderful cats who help to solve the mystery of the story. You just have to know that there seems to be more truth to what comes from the cat then what comes out of the human.
