Enjoyed every moment .

This audio takes you back in time when making a phone call required a corded phone and i enjoyed being reminded of Back In The Day.
The story of a hired killer and his interactions with others in his network of contacts and sponsors provided some great insight regarding the happenings in the world of murder and mayhem. The story was also entertaining when discussing the bureaucracy of the Justice department and how success occurs sometimes in spite of planning.

The Butcher’s Boy

The character development was good. The story with all the moving parts was interesting how the Butcher’s boy pulled off all that he did.
I picked this book for a couple international flights and just having finished “The Old Man”
By Thomas Perry also quite good.

FUN gripping and very well-written

This book is superb in every way: the plot line keeps you hooked; it's told ironically so it's a lot of fun; and it's extraordinarily well-written with all loose ends tied up in a very unpredictable and yet entirely logical way. I recommend it highly.

Well done!

Author Perry out does himself in this novel!!!! It is fun & so realistic you find yourself thinking about the characters as if they were your friends. The pace of the adventures it fast and furious and utterly unpredictable.!!!!! I do have to caution you about one thing ***WARNING***don’t start reading it if you have work in the morning…… Because you’re going to want to stay up all night reading! LOL

Moderate your expectations

This was an okay book, particularly for a new author. Nonetheless, the book didn't live up to the outstanding reviews it got on Audible and Amazon. For example, many of the positive reviews highlighted the writer's research of the subject matter and the authenticity of the story. However, there were some parts of the book that seemed foollish ... after Oklahoma City, would law enforcement officers really not know that fertilizer could be used for a bomb? Also, the overall depiction of the mafia didn't ring true and was sometimes almost clownish. I actually enjoyed the book, but I might have enjoyed it more if there wasn't so much unwarranted hype.

Execent Series

If you could sum up The Butcher's Boy in three words, what would they be?

entertaining interesting fascinating

What did you like best about this story?

The main character is fascinating.

What does Michael Kramer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I like His Michael Kramer interpretation of the main character. the characters is so methodical as the characters goes about killing people. After all that is what he does for a living.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

My wife and I listened to the series (3 books) twice.

Dislike the narrator.

The story to me was just ok. Did not like the monotone narrator at all.
