Publisher's Summary

In one bloody night, three of Washington’s most powerful politicians are executed with surgical precision. Their assassins then deliver a shocking ultimatum to the American government: set aside partisan politics and restore power to the people. No one, they warn, is out of their reach—not even the president. A joint FBI-CIA task force reveals the killers are elite military commandos, but no one knows exactly who they are or when they will strike next. Only Michael O’Rourke, a former U.S. Marine and freshman congressman, holds a clue to the violence: a haunting incident in his own past with explosive implications for his country’s future.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Story is okay but I was looking for Mitch to come in at any time. Coleman, Kennedy and Stanfill made it interesting.

Yes and I have at least 9 already.

Have you listened to any of Nick Sullivan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    "Entertaining"
Where does Term Limits rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It ranks in the top half of all the audiobooks I have listened to so far. Given today's environment in Washington, the premise of the story was interesting and timely even though it was written 10 years ago. No Mitch Rapp was slightly disappointing, but it was better in some ways to have many of the familiar characters involved just before his arrival in subsequent books.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Interesting plot, kept the listener engaged.

Have you listened to any of Nick Sullivan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Similar to other of his narrations. Good narration, nice character differentiation.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    No

    Any additional comments?

    Worth the credit.

"not his best, but entertaining none the less"

For the most part, I enjoyed the book. This novel had the feel of a first attempt. Fortunately for all of us Flynn has continued to grow and build on some of these characters. I had heard this novel was a little choppy but I really wanted to see where it all began. Thank you Vince Flynn, I love your books.

"We only wish this would happen in real life!"
What did you love best about Term Limits?

The plot establishes an underground patriot network resolved to getting the country back on track and do away with entrenched partisan politics. Term Limits it the very best of Vince Flynn!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Congressman Michael O'Rourke and Scott Coleman.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When O'Rourke whipped Stu Garrett in the Oval office.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No any particular moment the overall concept and planning seemed excellently composed.

    Any additional comments?

Outstanding read. I have 9 Vince Flynn audio books. This should be made into screenplay and a movie.

"I see why it wasn't released in a timely manner."

If you are a Vince fan you'll see 'origin of' several characters like the comic books of our youth. Familiar people but nary a mention of Mitch. Vince must have written this on lunch breaks but it is still a great 'secret wish' of any sentient patriot. The editor who said 'wait until you need a break' is fine by me because it gave us a Vince when he needed a break. Buy it! (400 plus titles bought).

Excessively long. Story & characters seemed forced. Storyline became predicable. Action sequenced well done as normal for author.

"Couldn't finish it, found it really boring"
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

No. It may be a book that many people like, but I just could not get into it. Perhaps the fact it is now an election year and that is all we hear on the news, made it worse. The amount of detail about how the government is run, and how the president is molded and rehearses everything is EXTREMELY annoying. There isn't enough scenes that are interesting. Spend less time on all the dang details, and get to the action. People are being shot. Concentrate on that, not the dang politics.

What was most disappointing about Vince Flynn’s story?

    Annoying and boring.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The narrator was fine, just a boring story.

Could you see Term Limits being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

    NO

    Any additional comments?

Try it if you are into politics. If not, only try it if the book is on sale.
