Great read!

What a great book about the love and interaction between a man and "his best friend". Couldn't put it down!

Riveting Book

If you enjoy shows like CSI, 24, Criminal Minds, Blue Bloods, etc., you will LOVE this book. This story is exciting, heart touching, riveting! The performer was outstanding and made it easy to bring the characters to life! Such a great book!!!

Good listen

liked it alot! Enjoyed the narrator, the story, the lead character and loved the dog.

Did not want it to be finished

I do not normally post reviews,however, this book just stopped me in my tracks. It is so compelling ,that I tried NOT to listen to it ,because I knew that I'd be sad that I'd finished it !!. I limited my listening to an hour per day ( but it was not easy !!!) great story,believable characters, and superb narration . Hope for more of this team. Thanks audible.

totally awesome

Great at whodonit with great characters. K9 dog and police officer who need each other to heal, mentally and physically. This story gives terrific insight into the thinking and behaviors of dogs. I adore Maggie.

Great story... well performed!

A great story... told from the point of view of several of the characters, including from the German Shepherd's view .... how a dog would experience what happens. I have enjoyed other books by Robert Crais and I didn't expect this to be a dog story from the title "Suspect". At times it had me in tears and occasionally laughing out loud. Admittedly, I love dogs, and the information about a dog's world experience, in addition to a good story, made this one of my very favorite "listens".

interesting perspectives

I love this book. It is great how the author uses different perspectives to tell the story. This book made me want to go get a dog to train.

Wow. This makes one great story

I enjoyed this book and liked the way the trust and love grew between this man and his new partner (Maggie). It was a good read.

One my better listens in a while

I was very pleasantly surprised. The story line and reader were very satisfying. I enjoyed the way the perspective switched between characters, including the dog.

A Twist on the "Buddy Cop" Story

What an interesting situation. I've read a lot of the "buddy cop" mysteries. One partner is usually damaged in some way while the other is the stable, reliable one. This was a different approach. Both partners are seriously damaged. Both have survived and have some survivor's guilt.

The relationship between the man and the dog is lovely to watch unfold. Both have trust issues. Those get resolved.

There are some weak points. This team seems to come together a little too quickly. They seem to have a little too much freedom. The case itself became a little predictable. But, all in all, it was a nice twist on a much-overused plot line. I hope there is not a sequel because a lot of the charm of it was the getting acquainted part.
