A twist around every corner

This was my first book by Michael Robotham and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sometimes the suspense was so great I had to take a break. The hero goes through hell and back. I enjoyed the characters and have downloaded the next 3 books in the series. Good for thriller and mystery buffs! The narration was excellent.

Wow really enjoyed this book !

I had not heard of this Author before , until I read a review of this book. I could not stop listening . This is a mixture of psychological thriller and detective story. The narrator Simon Prebble is one of my favorites and he keeps the pace rattling along. The plot has many twists and turn and the protagonist Dr Joe O' Loughlin is sympathetic if flawed. I certainly would recommend this book I am so pleased I found this Author I am now listening to the second in the series "Lost"

EXCELLENT LISTEN!!!

I read the reviews before starting this series. I totally agree with the narration being a 5 star but don't quite understand why the story and overall only rate a 4 star. I gave it a 5 star because the story couldn't have been better. In combining the story and the performance, IMO one gets a 5 star overall. Right?

I believe this is a strong beginning to a great series. I'm certainly moving on to the next one and would highly recommend this book to anyone that loves suspense. There were quite a few twists that I didn't expect which held my full attention. Yes, it's absolutely worth the credit!

Intriguing Book!

I really enjoyed this book! I’ve never read anything from the author , but now plan to read more. The plot and characters are very well developed. The language is rich - a very clever and talented writer who knows how to utilize words and phrases . Narration spot on, too

Good mystery read/listen

The first half was a little slow and long winded, but as another reviewer said, something would always happen to pull me back into the story. The second half was great. Engaging and calculating.

Excellent!

At first I was worried that there might be some plot redundancy (just finished reading book 3)- but happy to say as I progressed, I became further taken into another current of captivating twists & turns. Time to read the next in this series!

Wrong Order

I managed to read Lost before I read Suspect but luckily that did not detract anything from this book, Michael Robothams main characters are so real, no Hollywood veneer used. I think the richness of detail in the flaws and mannerisms of his characters combined with his plots which like a long carpet that keeps unrolling reveal more detail and story intrigue with every passing page/minute and that makes both Suspect and Lost books that are hard to put down. I want to read more...
