Publisher's summary

America is in the thrall of a full-scale socioeconomic breakdown. The stock market plummets, hyperinflation destroys the value of the dollar, and the population, unprepared for hardship, panics. Practically overnight, the high-technology infrastructure and chains of supply collapse, and wholesale rioting and looting grip every city. Law enforcement, transportation, electricity, fuel, and medical supplies are all in the past now, as the country staggers beneath its own weight. Lawless bands of killers roam the countryside, leaving devastation in their wake and now that the government is gone, the Constitution is at stake. Who will carry on?

In this chaotic and dangerous environment, a few families and individuals, bound together by their faith, skills, and foresight, must struggle not only to survive day by day but defend themselves against a new and vicious predator - their fellow man.

Survivors is a shockingly realistic and lightening fast thriller about the coming implosion of America as we know it. Renowned survivalist expert James Wesley, Rawles has packed this story with the cold hard facts about how to stay alive in the face of mass riots, starvation, and anarchy. His expertise lends unforgettable, authentic detail to this season's most chilling novel. Listeners will not only be entralled, they will learn invaluable lessons on how to survive the coming collapse.

Very Well Done.

What did you love best about Survivors?

Quick flow of the story.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

My gym workouts increased during this book. A good book keeps me on the treadmill so much longer.

Which character – as performed by Dick Hill – was your favorite?

All were well done although Mr. Hill's voice adds age to every character.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Its all very good. I've already purchased Patriots and listening to it.

Any additional comments?

I hope there is something else in the pipeline. I'm addicted.

Good Story Line

The book was good, similar story line as Patriots. The author spends to much time conveying his christian beliefs into the book. Really boring when he was describing morse code meanings. Other than that, I thought the book was good. I plan to read his others as they are released.

Exceptional Audiobook

Survivors is the perfect complement to Rawles' first novel. The book is exceptionally well written, the storyline is extremely well developed and unfortunately very plausible. As always Dick Hill manages to bring each character to life. I enjoyed every minute of listening.
I’m looking forward to the next Rawles novel.

Second technical drama

Not quite as good as the first book, but you still need that notepad sitting next to you while you listen. I strongly recommend this book as well.

worthy encore, but...

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I had hoped for more from the author. The first novel, "Patriots," was a stellar performance, in my opinion. This one is definitely worth a listen, but not quite what I had expected. Even when engrossed in the book and making my way to the end looking for the big climax, the confrontation that seemed to have been preluded throughout the entire book was just left out. All in, I will listen to it again (probably several times), but it certainly won't get the "wear" of the first.

Not as good as Patriots

Patriots was awesome. This book isn't as good as a story and lacks the same in depth survival content of the first book. Still a good listen though.

Ok story,

Fair story line, nowhere as well developed as Patriots. Sounds a little like a cut and paste from Patriots.
