Love the narrator!

The story quality was as good as ever, though I felt the twist was a little more predictable than her other books.

But I LOVED the narrator. Very believable with raw emotion on some of her reading.

Definitely recommend this page turner

I started reading this book after reading other reviews and watching a few episodes of the HBO series. I could not put it down and got the kindle book as well. I love how seamlessly I was able to go from kindle to echo to streaming on my laptop without missing anything, which I definitely took advantage of because I could not put this one down. The twist! Lots of people were mentioning that as well, and while I definitely had an inkling of intuition of how it ended, the fact that you think you have it, but maybe not quite so, was definitely refreshing. Could not recommend this listen highly enough.

Shockingly great!

Loved this book and the narrator! Just when you thought you had it figured out it changes again and wow!!! Great twist!

Didn't See That Coming!

Interesting story that takes you into the troubled life of the Preakers and leaves you stunned at the series of twists toward the end! I enjoyed listening to the book and now plan on watching the series and hope HBO did it right.

I am one who struggles with books. I'll admit that this one took a couple chapters to suck me in but when I did, I was hooked. I cannot wait to read more books from Gillian Flynn

Seriously Dark!

Would you listen to Sharp Objects again? Why?

I would definitely listen to Sharp Objects again not right away but I would definitely listen to it again. It was a great read. It was twisted. It has lots of twists and turns and an unexpected ending.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Hard to say. Every character was seriously twisted.

Have you listened to any of Ann Marie Lee’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No. This was my first experience.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did have a reaction. I didn't laugh or cry. I was a little saddened. Although this book is fiction, it made me sad to learn of the darkness and sadness that some people suffer with.

Any additional comments?

Gilliam Flynn is an exceptional writer. The story was dark but well written.

I was impressed by Gillian as usual.

I had to listen at work. Couldn't turn off the book. Was engaged the entire time.

Suspenseful novel that is narrated beautifully. Would love to listen to another book by the same narrator.
