Dangerous. Thrilling. Compulsive. Revenge is the brand-new novel from the phenomenal number-one best-selling author Martina Cole.
Be sure your sins will find you out. Michael Flynn is untouchable in a world of power, money, and violence. He fights for what he wants and he takes it, whatever the cost. He learns the rules of the Life from the best and when his mentor, legendary Face Patrick Costello, is taken out, no one questions that Michael Flynn is his natural successor. For Michael, loyalty - and crime - pay.
Michael Flynn rises to heights beyond anything the criminal underworld has seen. He owns everyone and he rules his empire with an even but fierce hand. No one would dare challenge him.
Then the unthinkable happens. Perhaps Michael Flynn is not so untouchable after all. And he must learn that...without the shedding of blood there can be no forgiveness of sins.

Anyone who hasn't read real crime books. The plot was never developed, it just droned on with banal language and shallow characters.
Reconsider the lack of any real plot, rewrite it. Fundamentally a serial soap opera.
. There are so many good crime writers out there. For those of us who enjoy well written crime stories this was dreadful. The narrators voice was like chalk being drawn across a board. The accent horrible.
Yes, it made me realise how patient I am to have kept listening to it.
Save your credit for one of the other crime writers.
Gripping, interesting, violent
Her interruption of voice
Martina cole is one of my favourite authors
"Believable narration.. But...."
First off five star narration by Annie Aldington.
Surprisingly this is my first Cole book. It's not very often I can't get through a book it took me ages to get though to the end, personally finding the story line, situations and characterizations boring and too repetitive for my taste after initially being hooked in at the beginning, my interest soon ebbed away as the story unfolded.
It felt more like I was reading a script for TV.
To give Cole her due it does get better towards the end but I still stand by an 'ok' score.I felt there just was not enough depth to the story line despite the superb narration.
Been told to try her earlier stuff so will be giving that a go instead.
"Same old same old!"
Yes for curiosity's sake this time. I have read or listened to all Martina Coles books,
And have found them very good! But now feel with her more recent books the stories are
The same so are becoming predictable!
New characters! New plot!
Performance was Ok
Would try Martina Cole one last time to see if she can live up to her original talent.
different narrator, different book
anything as long as its niot Martina Cole and not the same narrator
Keep quiet ?
Anger at the poor story line and even worse narration
"Get ready for a roller-coaster ride of repetition"
Well not tell us every thing 3 times
The narrator was the only positive
That I was wasting my time and money
Seems Martina has run out of ideas, having read most of her books this one is just the same old story and identical characters doing the same jobs, if you are looking for something different then you will be disappointed.
"Blood Murder and Revenge"
A very typical martina cole novel but this one had a bit of a twist to the overall story ... As the title suggests and within a few chapters you know that there is going to be revenge and it will not be pretty .... and you know who the victim is but how who and why .... a bit disjointed in parts but overall an enjoyable if not bloody listen but I was fed up by the end ... I wanted to slap the narrator Annie Aldington ... no dark or shade to her voice everyone to me sounded the same character.
"Fast pace and simple"
Not my favourite type of book, bought on a whim as it was on offer. Found it very repetitive, although it might work better in a book.
Emotions of the characters were repeated in the simplest terms over and over again, lots of swearing, and felt flat in places.
However, the end was quite good, as one of the characters grapples with hording and other mental health issues, it gave a surprisingly interesting edge. Other aspects were a bit predictable and I felt unrealistic, but worked well for this story.
Not read any other Martina Cole books, and probably won't, but don't feel I've wasted the time listening to this one.
Overall, does what you might expect, just not to my personal tastes.
"Another good martina classic"
