Had to skip ahead at one point

At one point, the plot got pretty circular so I fast-forwarded. Amazing but I didn't miss a thing. I enjoy these books because of the south Florida setting. There was almost none of it in this book...it all happens in NY.

just ok<br />

the book had its moments it was okay I didn't like it as much as the first one mainly because much of it was just not credible.... the man character is not very likeable he a little bit too arrogant and in conceited.... unlike Jack Reacher who by the way could kick this guy's ass

Love Travis McGee, but this was disappointing.

I enjoy the character of Travis McGee, but as soon as the storyline became
an involuntary commitment in an asylum due to psychedelic drugs.. I lost interest.
I did finish it, but a great disappointment because it seems the author
bailed on a complicated mystery. I'll try another one in this series.

Very Dated

Very dated story with a horrible sexist attitude toward woman. Couldn't listen to it. The depiction of women in it is despictable.

Another great novel by a great mystery writer.

Any additional comments?

Really good book, though it feels a bit date worn in spots. Nightmare in Pink has a few dips but keeps humming until the very end.

McGee is timeless

love these books, and this narrator is great at conveying the time period without making it feel old.

Slow start Strong finish

Would you listen to Nightmare in Pink again? Why?

I probably would not listen again. I rarely listen to books a second time. But it was a very good book. Very thought provoking.

Tricky, tricky, tricky

The Travis McGee series in the second book somewhere in the second have of the book became more interesting, not your typical who done it book. The book started out like the first book but eventually had a twist that was unique to detective books. As in the first book, Travis McGee was a beach bum as he calls his existence. The addition of large organization and mental hospital made for a unique story. Does Travis escape the mental hospital? Well, you have to read to find out. The book was worth reading and better than the first book.

Quality entertainment

I read every one of the McGee books I could get my hands on long ago. I had forgotten how good they were. Well worth the time and money to listen to. When will they make the movie?!?!
