Micah Sloane knows almost everything there is to know about Risa Clay, including the vicious betrayal she endured years ago and the distrust she’s harbored ever since. The only way for the Elite Ops agent to uncover an assassin - and banish the ghosts of his own dark past - is to use Risa as bait. But nothing has prepared him for her disarming blend of innocence and sensuality, or for his overwhelming need to protect her.…
Risa has spent six years rebuilding her life. And now, to save it, she must pose as Micah’s lover and draw a killer into the open. It’s a risky plan - especially with a man as powerfully seductive as Micah. But, as their charade becomes reality, Risa realizes the greatest danger may lie in losing her heart forever.…

Most definitely. It's not entirely believable but that's why I bought it. There were lots of twists and turns with a few laughs mixed in. Lora has a way of describing things just enough without overdoing it.
Risa because she was strong and feisty.
I think that this is one of her best. She really seemed to get into it.
I'm not entirely sure it would make a good movie but I guess I would out of curiosity.
This book will entertain you, no doubt about it.
Make no mistake between my personality and my attitude. My personality is who I am, my attitude depends on who you are.........
I love Lora Leigh and I was so in love with Wild Card in which I listed to it twice.
With the above said, I couldn't wait for the next book in this series but will have to say I was extremely disappointed. I felt that the depth of the characters and the story line were severally lacking. I hope Book 3 gets back on track with the first........
I have listened to Maverick twice. It is a great read/listen.
Wasn't quite on the edge of my seat, though I was quite excited waiting for Risa to remember. Kept waiting for Orion to make more attempts. Thought Mac Knight was Orion's inside man, glad he wasn't.
I love Clarissa Knightly's performances and I have heard several. She is great with her attention to detail intonations and she keeps the characters alive and separated.
I tried to listen to this book in one sitting and but my life kept interfering. Sad huh?
I enjoyed Wild Card and Maverick and was disappointed that the other books in this series were not available. Had to buy them in hardback. I just loved this series, became attached to the Elite Ops team and their loves.
I loved this book when I read it! But I wasn't sure it would be a great listen and I was so wrong. I loved it. A hero that I almost wanted to hate but he got it together in the end, and the ensemble characters that make the story interesting. The thing is I am a huge Lora Leigh fan, I adore her Breeds Series and anything she has penned is worth a read / listen.
Even though I knew the story yes it was an interesting listen
Wasn't terrible ..... not my favourite narrator but I wasn't put off.
actually I didn't listen to it in one sitting but I think that is because I had read the book before listening to the audio version.
Say something about yourself!
Yes, I would recommend this book! It has great back round, great charactors, love story, and of course a bad guy. You will want to read Wild Card first to get more to this story. The 2 books have tied together perfectly! I love stories about a strong man that loves and protects the woman he loves with everything he has.
The necklace put it all together for me.
I listen to a lot of Lora Leigh's books. Will listen to both again.
Okay. Wildcard ending was better.
You could tell the characters apart but Risa in ecstasy was annoying, whiny after a while just wanted her to be done.Other characters were good.
Love Romantic Erotica with a twist , thrill, suspense and a great story !
My favorite series so far....
I am so glad it continued from "Wild Card"
The story line is exciting , those ops agents keep me wanting more of them !
Never wanted to put it down.
Dear Audible ......We want more ....more of the Elite Ops !!! Please add them soon!
I am very disappointed that I can not go on to the next book "Heat Seeker"
