#1 New York Times bestselling author Dean Koontz’s brilliantly thrilling novel of suspense.

In the midst of a raging blizzard, lightning struck on the night Laura Shane was born. And a mysterious blond-haired stranger showed up just in time to save her from dying.

Years later, in the wake of another storm, Laura will be saved again. For someone is watching over her. Is he the guardian angel he seems? The devil in disguise? Or the master of a haunting destiny beyond all time and space?

Unexpected thrills

Would you consider the audio edition of Lightning to be better than the print version?

There is something to listening to this book that reading it yourself might not have given to you. Christopher gave each person depth that had I read the book I may not have felt the pull into the story like I did listening to it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

My listening time is somewhat limited but I found myself giving this book just a little more time ... just one more chapter.

Any additional comments?

Love gives you strength and depth all it's own. The fight we give for our loved ones and strength we find to push forward is found in this book. Great book!

Good not great

I devour Koontz books and thought that this story was good but not the usual holding on to the edge of my seat writing that I've come to expect.

Definately worth a credit

This is probably my favorite koontz book. The story was good from the beginning. It's somewhat fast paced. Narrator wasn't great but was good for sure.

Not what I expected

Bought this book on sale because I've read Dean Koone books in the past and liked them. The book is about time travel which I am not normally into but this one had a different twist to it that kept me into it the entire book.

I loved the characters and the way the narrator portrayed them was excellent. You always knew who he was portraying even without him telling you. Although this was a serious book there was much humor in it.

A story about how much the human spirit can tolerate when put to the test again and again. I highly recommend.

Good story, great historical references

Good story with some great references to history. The storyline ties together pretty well. The ending was too happy for me.

A standard fast paced Koontz

This is the first time I have listened to a Dean Koontz book, rather than read it. Mr Koontz has a way of keeping you riveted from start to finish, and normally at an almost real time plot. This was slightly different as the book is set over a period of years, but the bulk of the story is still in a few days nearer the end of the book. This at the normal breakneck pace. No dog in this book, un Koontz like.

Enjoy Dean's stories.

This is a different Dean
I like it. Darker -lightly sprinkled with humor. No dogs.

Any additional comments?

with a "good" book you get to chapter 2 or 3 (if your lucky) or to the middle before things happen. With "Lighting" the action starts right away and ends at the last sentence.
