    "Give us more Sefton"

I have read all of Maggie Sefton's 'cozy mysteries', which serve up a view of the Colorado countryside, small town life, the knitting culture and telecommuter craze. Please give us more!

"Knit One Kill Two: A Knitting Mystery, Book 1"

I agree- give us more Sefton!! Ms. Sefton's mysteries are very easy reading and listening, but at the same time keeps one guessing. All of her books are very descriptive especially her "Knitting" series. As a knitter I wish I could find a shop like the one she describes. I especially like the reader and look for her narration in choosing an audible.
Pease obtain series 2 through 8. I've already contacted Audible and received a prompt reply as to why only two have been read. Please keep trying to get the publisher to release more.

    "I love this cozy mystery"

I have all Ms. Steftons books, and they translated to audio perfectly. How can a murder mystery make me feel so calm? The discription of the yarn, the colors and the beauty she see's in the mountain's, the sky. I love them and cant waite for more to come on audio!!

    "Simple and monotonous"
What disappointed you about Knit One, Kill Two?

Details were repeated too many times. Multiple characters but not very interesting. The story was not very interesting.

Has Knit One, Kill Two turned you off from other books in this genre?

    No

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Could be good book - needs more development

Have a renewed interest in books after falling in love with audio books. I am listening to all different genres and exploring different authors.

Finally finished. Painfully slow. Not my style. Only interesting parts were last two chapters.

"Don't know if it's the author or the narrator"

It could be both. One good thing, I knew from the beginning who did it and I was wrong. I enjoyed the knitting background, I enjoyed the picture of Colorado, but somehow it just wasn't satisfying. This isn't a very useful review because I can't define it. Either the dialogue was stupid or narration made it sound stupid and I can't tell you which, but it was unsatisfactory. I liked the Carl the Rottweiler, he's a great character with his golf ball filching ways, but I have to imagine that he's grown to this great hulking dog living in a condo in Washington DC with a CPA? They don't usually have a lot of spare time, maybe he went to doggie day care every day so that he didn't grow up neurotic. That's a small thing, but it's symptomatic of the way the story just didin't fall together for me. Maybe this was her first novel and they get better?

    "Good Story, Terrible Narrator"
Would you try another book from Maggie Sefton and/or Jane Jacobs?

Maggie Sefton yes, Jane Jacobs, no.

What did you like best about this story?

This was a fun story. I enjoyed the knitting background and that it was a family friendly book without graphic violence.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Jane Jacobs?

Not sure. I liked Hillary Huber whom I just listened to on another book.

Did Knit One, Kill Two inspire you to do anything?

Pick up my knitting again. I have put it down for the summer.

    Any additional comments?

The reason I did not like Jane Jacobs is because her tone never changed. She always sounded overly pleasant like she was voicing a commercial. She had no different voices for characters and her tone never changed from when a scene was pleasant to when it was serious or suspenseful.

    "Loved it!"
    Any additional comments?

This was an awesome book. I've wanted to try this series, but just don't have time to read. I was glad it came out in audio so I could preview the series, and I was not disappointed. Right now, the only other audio book in the series is #9, but I sincerely hope that books #2 - #8 also become available in audio soon. Maggie is a talented writer and the narration was very good. The characters were likable and I hope that I can listen to more of this series in the near future. I highly recommend it.

    "Really, Audible????"

Read this book a while ago and kind of liked it. But what POSSIBLE reason can Audible have for offering book one and then book NINE????? Honestly, they make me totally crazy sometimes. Also unforgivable is the fact that Audible does NOT have Cozies as a subcategory for Mysteries: they have Espionage, they have Noir - they even have Radio Dramas.

    Wise up, Audible!

    "Really Enjoyed this!"

This was very enjoyable! I stayed interested through the whole story. I also liked the narrator. Jane Jacobs voice was soothing and the character changes were also smooth. I've already downloaded the next one!
