Critic reviews

;“Well-drawn characters and a wickedly clever plot - you’ll love unraveling this mystery!” (Laura Childs, New York Times best-selling author)

Entertaining

Easy to listen to. Held my interest the entire time. I'm ready for the next in the series.

Give us more Sefton

I have read all of Maggie Sefton's 'cozy mysteries', which serve up a view of the Colorado countryside, small town life, the knitting culture and telecommuter craze. Please give us more!

Nice story . . .

but predictable in parts. Now I'll have to search for a knitting group in my area and listen to the next book in this series.

Enjoyable if a bit slow

The book is very enjoyable if you are a knitter/crafter who enjoys mysteries. The story is slow compared to other mysteries, but that only adds to the want for me to listen. The build up was far better than I thought it would be and the pace ensured I could listen without needing to back track in order to remember where I left off.

Good book overall

Overall it's a good cozy mystery. I just didn't like the person who did it. Wish the killer had been someone else.

Cozy and Fun

This was a fun and engaging mystery. I loved the community that was created around a common interest and people who cared for someone.

Stereotype

I'm only one chapter in and I will continue for now so I may edit this review, but I'm already bothered by the stereotyped main character. The main character is a CPA and the references to her work are so boring!. I'm a CPA also and I'm so tired of seeing the same old stereotypes portrayed for accountants. Other readers must be tired of this as well. Who wants to read about billable hours and shoeboxes of receipts? Some of us are not 2-dimensional prim and proper bean counters. So far the story itself is engaging enough to continue (especially since I like knitting) but I just wish the main character could be more interesting - maybe this will happen later in the book. . I will revise this review later to give fair consideration to the story and performance.

Really, Audible????

Read this book a while ago and kind of liked it. But what POSSIBLE reason can Audible have for offering book one and then book NINE????? Honestly, they make me totally crazy sometimes. Also unforgivable is the fact that Audible does NOT have Cozies as a subcategory for Mysteries: they have Espionage, they have Noir - they even have Radio Dramas.

Wise up, Audible!

Good read

Nice story but narrator needed to be more careful in her pronunciations. Half the time the name of the heroine, Kelly, came out sounding more like "Hilly" than Kelly. Hope this is corrected by the next book. It really is rather distracting from an otherwise entertaining cozy mystery.
