Critic reviews

;“Well-drawn characters and a wickedly clever plot - you’ll love unraveling this mystery!” (Laura Childs, New York Times best-selling author)

“A mystery with more twists and turns than the scrumptious yarns in the fictitious shop of Lambspun...A clever, fast-paced plot, with a spunky sleuth and a cast of fun, engaging characters...Delivers the goods.” (Margaret Coel, New York Times best-selling author)

“Enjoyable...Series fans will delight in the side action of the regular cast of characters and be on the edge of their seats with a cliff-hanger ending.” (Publishers Weekly)

Really, Audible????

Read this book a while ago and kind of liked it. But what POSSIBLE reason can Audible have for offering book one and then book NINE????? Honestly, they make me totally crazy sometimes. Also unforgivable is the fact that Audible does NOT have Cozies as a subcategory for Mysteries: they have Espionage, they have Noir - they even have Radio Dramas.

Wise up, Audible!

Good read

Nice story but narrator needed to be more careful in her pronunciations. Half the time the name of the heroine, Kelly, came out sounding more like "Hilly" than Kelly. Hope this is corrected by the next book. It really is rather distracting from an otherwise entertaining cozy mystery.

A pleasant, fun "read" - if somewhat predictable

Would you listen to Knit One, Kill Two again? Why?

Yes. Performance was pleasant and not overly affected. Characters were genial.

Would you be willing to try another book from Maggie Sefton? Why or why not?

I'd love to have more of this series on audible (currently skips from book 1 to book 9, and not searchable as a series), and I'd love to see her other series on audible, too. This is exactly the kind of book I enjoy listening to, since the only way I make time for mysteries is multi-tasking (listening while cleaning house, for example).

Disappointed.

I love knitting and mysteries so this seemed like a great choice. Unfortunately, the writing was amateurish and the narrator was far too perky. The author introduced a love interest and then overlooked it in the last chapter. I guess I'll keep my passions for knitting and mysteries separate.

Love this book, but…

If I’m honest, the narrator is awfully one-note most of the time. I read this years ago and felt the characters were happy and upbeat, but the narrator dragged them down in this version. I’m sure she’s a lovely person, just not an awesome narrator.

Give us more Sefton

I have read all of Maggie Sefton's 'cozy mysteries', which serve up a view of the Colorado countryside, small town life, the knitting culture and telecommuter craze. Please give us more!

Great story and narrator! Hope there's more! Author has a hit! The knitting theme is quite a good idea! Thanks!
