I Spy a new series I was to read

What a terrific discovery! I would not normally say I'm a mystery genre person. This was an audio recommendation from a stranger, but I loved it. There were several good suspects though not everyone was an option. I don't mind wondering who did it but I dislike it when everyone is a suspect. Anyway, the story was intriguing and had several micro stories in tangent with the main plot. I assume this is where the other books come from. I loved the narrator who did really well at having a different voice for all the main characters. This was a really pleasant listen as I sewed a quilt.

Rags to Riches

Beautifully narrated and an enjoyable story. Have read most of the Molly Murphy books (rags) so this is a nice switch to see how the royalty behave (riches). Ms. Kellgren's narration and character dialog is exceptional.

Delightful

Amusing characters, nice plot twists, great narrator, perfect for listening while walking. Seduced me into listening at night to finish the story.

Entertaining - Great Narration

This story is an entertaining confection -- comforting in these dire times and also a window into the kind of barbaric British class system. The narrator was fantastic, except for a muddling Irish with Scottish a couple time, and very distinct with each character. I would listen to another of these for the narration alone. I could have done with fewer attempts to kill the main character -- we got it the first time. All in all, a good listen, nothing to jump up and down about but more like a quick funny sitcom that you forge the instant it's over.

Engaging characters, fabulous narration.

This British cozy mystery set in 1930s London, provides a lovely escape from the stress which is our current norm. The mystery itself may not be very complex, and likely you will spot the bad guy from a mile away, but no matter, the heroine is engaging, and her friends, family, and social circle are an interesting lot, and the voices the narrator developed for each of them is distinct and entertaining.

If you want a lighthearted and very British romp of a cozy mystery, try this series.

Meh, it was kinda boring

I love listening to Kellgren, so I thought I would give it a listen. The story was pretty boring and not really worth the credit used. Oh well.

Excellent read!

Such a good narrator, the story moves right along. Couldn't put it down. Would recommend.

Turtle walk!

It wasn't until chapter 11 that the murder even took place. For me that is a little too slow. The book has 30 chapters overall I wasn't expecting the killer to be who it was so thats a good thing. Just too slow for me.

I'm on my third time through the series.

I got so caught up in it I can't get any work done. Everything else in my life gets set aside.

I have listened to several books in this series and I really love these characters. Rhys Bowen always creates great characters.
