frickin' good

As far as Audible books, one of the best. This from a decade+ listener....go for it.

A great summer listen...more than once

Could not stop the book, it was too good. Enjoyed the narrator too.

Baldacci is a master plot writer

This is once again the kind of excitement by Baldacci that will give you the creeps! It should actually be banned from motor vehicles because of the danger you expose others to when forgetting about everything else than the excitement of the story. Yet another excellent narrator makes this audio book perfect!

Another Baldacci Literary Masterpiece!

I was initially deceived in reading a plethora of negative posts regarding sound effects and story line; however, I was quite pleased with The First Family. Baldacci is different that many authors in the fact that main characters one would only assume would live, don't always have that luxury. Naturally, it is safe to assume that King and Maxwell will proceed into the next novel yet the encounters they endure mold their characters into more complexed figures thereby offering credibility to the writer.

What did you like best about First Family? What did you like least?

I liked that it was supenseful! I kept listening straight through just to find out what the big secret was! The whole story was a little convoluted. While I enjoyed the story, it was a little hard to believe that the President could keep such giant secrets hidden during a campaign let alone once he was actually President.

Would you be willing to try another book from David Baldacci? Why or why not?

Of course! I always enjoy David Baldacci books, even the lesser ones.

Gruff.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

I would.

I always enjoy Sean and Michelle. But the whole side story with Michelle's mother's death in this one was a little odd. I didn't really like that story line, and felt that it didn't add anything to the book. I'd even go as far as to say it took away from the big story and I got a little bored. If I had been reading the book instead of listening to it, I would probably have skipped over those scenes.

best book in this series so far.

I have been listening to his books in this series in order so far and have like this one the best. It seems like it had the best flow and made the most sense. I'm looking forward to his next book in the series.
