Publisher's summary

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Vince Flynn - “the best pure adrenaline-charged action writer out there today” (The Providence Journal) - puts Mitch Rapp in the crossfire as America’s enemies tighten their grip.

Returning from a covert mission, Mitch Rapp was publicly hailed by the president for his role in the fight against terrorism. After years of working in the shadows, Rapp was caught in the media spotlight - and marked for death by virtually every terrorist in the world. Now a CIA advisor, Rapp is ready to battle terror far from the front lines.

But when a Navy SEAL team in the Philippines is ambushed, all evidence points to a leak within the U.S. State Department. And a greater threat lurks - a ruthless assassin working for the most powerful men in the Middle East, who are bent on igniting a world war. With the world watching, Rapp must hold back the flames of Armageddon....

Take another thrill ride with Mitch Rapp.

Good, Not Great, But Credit Worthy

Would you listen to Executive Power again? Why?

No, there are too many others that are better. I would not want to steer anyone from trying this one, but I have to say that it dragged in many spots for me. Too much on and on descriptions of what the terrorists were thinking, or not thinking, doing or planning or not planning or doing.

Would you recommend Executive Power to your friends? Why or why not?

No, not this one. Sorry Vince. It was exciting in parts but did not really hold my attention. I could not - NOT read it so it's not a 2 star. But no more than 3 stars for the story.

What does George Guidall bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Awesomeness always. If not for George this one would not have been a 3 star as I would not have been driven to complete it.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I did like that the bad dude got "his" in his face.

Any additional comments?

I am tired of these types of plots. So, taking a break and reading some Reacher and Dean Koontz

Good narration and ever timely storyline

suspenseful with good detail and realistic characters. Flynn has a keen sense of the difference between politicians and spin doctors and the people who must deal with the real world situations.

AWESOME!

I was worried that after the last book there was going to be little plot again or such a prolonged exposure that it took cliff notes to follow but this one was awesome really really good! Highly recommend and now I can’t wait for memorial day book! Great job Mr. Flynn in heaven

George Guidall is back!

You probably aren't picking this book up as your first foray into the Mitch Rapp series...If you are a fan of the series to this point, you know that the narration performance makes a big deal, and George Guidall is back! Oh yeah-and Vince Flynn crafts a fantastic story that weaves thrilling action and suspense whole geopolitics. Couldn't put it down… er... take it out of my ears!

Narrator

Always like Mitch Rapp books. My only minor reoccurring annoyance with this one is the narrator pronouncing Heckler and Koch as Heckler and coach. Heckler and Koch is a German company so the name isn't an American English pronunctiation. Koch should sound like coke.

executive power

I thought the character of Anna Reilly was ridiculously childish! I found the performer , George Guidall, much easier to understand than in later books. A hypnotizing audible book!
