Publisher's summary

Fearless counterterrorism operative Mitch Rapp finds himself directly in the line of fire in the latest riveting political thriller from New York Times best-selling author Vince Flynn.

For years, Mitch Rapp's bold actions have saved the lives of countless Americans. His battles for peace and freedom have made him a hero to many, and an enemy to countless more. In the tangled, duplicitous world of espionage, there are those, even among America's allies, who want to see Mitch Rapp eliminated. They have decided the time has come.

Now, the powerful father of a dead terrorist demands vengeance in its simplest form, an eye for an eye, and Rapp instantly becomes the target of an international conspiracy. This time, he must use all of his vigilance and determination to save himself before he can turn his fury on those who have dared to betray him.

Consent to Kill takes listeners behind the headlines and catapults them to the front lines of the global war on terror. It sizzles "with inside information, military muscle, and CIA secrets" (Dan Brown). Vince Flynn mixes military technology with his exclusive knowledge of Washington politics to create a hero that Americans will wish existed outside the realm of fiction.

Exciting Thriller! Mitch Rapp at his Best!

This is my favorite book in the Mitch Rapp series yet. This book was exciting start to finish and I enjoyed every second of it. I couldn't stop listening and it was hard to turn it off when I had to. George Guidall was again fantastic as the narrator and voice of Mitch Rapp. I love his pace, voices, and just the general way he reads the story.

Great book! Now on to the next in the series!

Absolutely Fantastic From Beginning to End!

I'm assuming if you are considering a Vince Flynn book, you already know what type of book you are looking for. An edge of your seat, CIA spy, counter terrorism, espionage thriller - the very best of!

Mitch Rapp makes Jack Bauer of 24 look like a Politically Correct Jerk.

You really should listen to this book before you listen to Act of Treason, notheless it stands alone very well. A bit longer than most of Vince Flynn's books. This Mitch Rapp novel is one of my favorites - second only to Memorial Day. You WILL NOT be disappointed with this novel!

I added this list of Mitch Rapp novels and their publishing dates for reading or listening to them in order. I'm so pleased that Audible started recording these Vince Flynn novels at Memorial Day - it's a great intro to Mitch Rapp.

Term Limits (1997) - Transfer of Power (1999) - The Third Option (2000)
Separation of Power (2001) - Executive Power (2002) - Memorial Day (2004)
Consent to Kill (2005) - Act of Treason (2006) - Protect and Defend (2007)
Extreme Measures (2008) - Pursuit of Honor (2009) - American Assassin (2010)

Well, I'm off to download and listen to Protect and Defend.

The best so far!

This book was published in 2005, but the story lines are straight out of 2017.

Terrific

Aging warrior? Nah Rapp still has it. Flynn's writing is intricate and well organized and George's reading never lets the mind wander. I've lost lots of sleep on this series listening late into the night

Great Story! Buy this one!

This was my first Vince Flynn abook and was very enjoyable. George Guidall has great control over his voice; it was easy to tell who was speaking.

gripping

This was very entertaining, hard to stop listening to. No great depth. Good propaganda for Patriot Act fans and those who support the Bush/Cheney doctrine, but if you can put that aside, you'll enjoy the book.

Suspenseful, revenge story.

Slightly predictable but should know that from title. Still, edge of your seat interest to see how the situations evolve. Nice ending, but I felt some character conflicts that began earlier in book were unresolved. No doubt they will be addressed in future adventures.
