Publisher's summary

Channeling his inner Easy Rider, Serge Storms saddles up for his most epic, lethal, and hilarious road trip ever as he revvs off to find the lost American dream...starting in the Florida Panhandle.

Obsessed with the iconic '60s classic Easy Rider, encyclopedic Floridaphile, lovable serial killer, and movie buff extraordinaire Serge A. Storms devises his wildest plan yet: finish the journey begun by his freewheeling heroes, Captain America and Billy, tragically cut short by some shotgun-wielding rednecks.

Setting a course for the Florida Panhandle, Captain Serge - with Coleman literally riding shotgun - mounts his classic motorcycle and hits the highway in search of the real America: the apple-pie-eating, freedom-swilling moms and pops of Main Street USA.

But the America he finds in the rural burgs dotting the neck of the peninsula is a little bit different...and a whole lot weirder than anything Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper encountered. In a state where criminal politicians are more common than gators, Serge and Coleman discover one particular speed-trap locale so aggressively inept at corruption that investigators are baffled about where to start.

Expect nothing less than madness, mayhem, ingenious homicides, and mind-altering pharmaceuticals when Serge and Coleman's path intersects with the Sunshine State's hyper-dysfunctional rusticity.

Well worth the wait!

Coconut Cowboy is Tim Dorsey's latest book. With Serge at his best yet.
Now I have to wait for the next book.
All Tim Dorsey's books are well worth the time.

Great characters in search of a plot

I enjoyed this book in a weird kind of way. Serge and Holman are completely out there and fun, but there story has nothing to do with the developing story. Then toward the end is the unexpected and dubious link. Bottom line: fun characters who live in what should be considered an alternate reality. Read it with a smile and soon forget it - probably.

Ahhhhh The Pronunciations!!!

I enjoy your performance, thought Wilson sounded more like Serge, but you're DEFINITELY getting there :) Now I'm used to you and each time you've said "More Cow Bell" has cracked me up as you sound just like Walken!!! My gripe!...please, please, PAH-LEASE learn how to pronounce these small towns! Let you slide with Ocala, Alachua, Panacea, Okaloosa, and Withlacoochi (there were a few more), but when you mispronounced Wakulla!!! I'll give you that Suwannee is mispronounced down here, but Wakulla!!! I know these are already recorded, but for anyone who may read this here it is phonetically Wah-cull-la

Awesome as usual.

This is my favorite series of books, and Tim Dorsey does it again. The performance on the audio book is excellent. This book is a really fun ride, so strap in and enjoy the ride.

Dorsey NEVER disappoints with Serg and Coleman

I love these stories! these are the perfect audible books. easy, fun, hilarious antics and antagonistic and protagonist rolled into one character! Serg A. Storms has become the epitamy of hero. I am going to listen again and again. Tim Dorsey is a guy I would love to meet. If you like crazy, funny, could happen shit..this series is made for you.

An adventure to behold

Another decent installment in the Serge Storms series. A whacked look at the craziness of Florida. I recommend this title.
