"An electric series of startling twists, the revelation of ghoulishly practical motives and a nail-biting finale make this Gerritsen's best to date. (Publishers Weekly)
the reading was excrutiating there was no emotion just this monotonous drone & just too detailed. I finished it only because I paid for it!
I truly enjoyed this audiobook. I finished it in two days. I found it interesting and well written. The characters were woven together skillfully. I will definitely be reading more from this author!
I'm a Cardiac Anesthesiologist with two college aged children. I used 2 check my kid's books for appropriateness & now enjoy those books 2.
I love Tess's books.
I read them all and listen to them all.
I love her flow and characters.
She is great and as an Anesthesiologist, I love her ideas and true medical information.
The reader sounds like she is talking in her sleep! She barely display ANY emotion at all. I am sure that the story is okay, but the reader makes it very difficult to get thru.
This is one of the best books that I have listened to. She weaves three stories together and keeps you on your toes to the very end. I thought I had figured it out and boy, was I wrong. This was the first one of her books that I have read but won't be the last.
This was a terrific thriller. I had some difficulties accepting an advanced preganancy with one of the leads. Otherwise great story line definitely had me on the edge for a while.
This was the first Tess Geritsen book we have read and we found it to be very interesting, exciting and enjoyable and we will look forward to reading more of her works.
This book hooked me from the get-go. The main character is tough and vulnerable. Guessing the "who-done-it" is only half the fun. A must hear from a seasoned audio-book listener. The narrator is especially talented and pleasant for the long haul.
I like mysteries and this one had surprises all the way through. The characters were interesting, and I could not put it down. I though the narrator did a good job; I specifically liked the voice of Detective Jane Rizzoli; the Boston accent reminded me of my years there.
The main character is a medical examiner, so there is quite a bit of gore; but it is presented clinically, so there is some detachment there. Good writing, fast paced plot and strong characters. What more could you want?
This book has some nice interesting twists and suspenses. I had been expecting the plot to be predictable but was pleasantly surprised. The surprises make sense in hind-sight, and not outrageous. The character development is good, and the prose is easy on the ears.
