The incredible new novel from Tom Harper, set in one of the most dangerous environments on the planet. Perfect for fans of Dan Brown and The Lost City Of Z. Tom Harper has taken you to the underworld. He's taken you to the Arctic. Now he's taking you to the deadliest jungle on earth.
When Kel MacDonald joins an expedition looking for a legendary lost city in the Peruvian Amazon, he's expecting the adventure of a lifetime. But things are not what they seem.
Paramilitaries, drug cartels, and wildcat prospectors all want what the jungle has to offer - while untamed local tribes will fight desperately to protect their way of life. Maps of the region have been doctored. And what exactly happened to the previous expedition, a government vaccination program that went upriver and never returned?
Soon finding the lost city is the least of their troubles. The jungle hides deadly secrets that must be hidden at all costs. And someone in the group wants to make sure they never get out.

I am a long haul owner operator truck driver, listening to audio books has been a salvation for me.
Fantastic story, keeps you guessing all the way through. Superb Narrating by Angus King, he has an absolute talent at bringing the characters to life. This book has strong characters that go on an deadly adventure, you won't be disappointed .
After reading lazarus vault by tom harper i thought i would try another of his books. This one is absolutely awful, the worst book i have heard in a long time. Im so annoyed i wasted my monthly credit on this garbage.
Epic adventure story with an underlying menace that your never quite sure of... Clever plot slowly revealed. Lost city and treasure! Who doesn't want that adventure!! But things are never quite as they seem.
Well written and narrated.
I would recommend this to all lovers of adventure
I had enjoyed a previous audio book by this author so had no hesitation in choosing this one. It was an interesting read with the usual twists and turns as to who was responsible for what. Would probably listen again at some point in the future. Good narration.
