I Needed Kindle to Finish This Book

The police procedural chapters were interesting, and I enjoyed the characters, setting, dialogue, etc. However, after listening to several chapters about the victim's girlfriend, I could no longer listen to the Audible version--at any speed. At first I sympathized with her predicament, but as more unpleasant facts about the victim came to the fore, she began to sound more like a whinging, pathetic pity-poor-me character. I switched to Kindle so I might skim/skip/speed through her chapters. As soon as the police procedural resumed, I switched to Audible. Without Kindle I could not have finished this book. That said, I may try other books in this series
