Publisher's summary

Get three absolutely gripping crime thrillers set on the UK's atmospheric north Norfolk coast from number one best-selling British author J M Dalgliesh in this great value collection.

Discover the author who has sold in excess of two million books globally. Shortlisted for the Amazon Kindle Storyteller Award with number one titles in the UK, USA, Australia, and Canada.

Book one: One Lost Soul

The darkest secrets often hide in plain sight....

When a body is found on a lonely cliff top path, the angelic face of a murdered teenager lies facing the rising sun. Strangled by the hands of an unknown killer, it falls to DI Tom Janssen and his fledgling team to find out how she came to be there. Destined for a career in medicine, one to rival that of her parents, Holly Bettany’s future was as bright as it had been privileged. Seemingly, all that could threaten this promising teenager’s life was Holly herself.

Book two: Bury Your Past

A secret worth dying for is a secret worth killing....

When a violent storm uncovers the remains of an unknown young woman, long buried among the sand dunes, DI Tom Janssen must piece together fragmentary evidence to determine how she came to be there.

Book three: Kill Our Sins

What would you do to keep your past a secret?

When the mutilated remains of a woman are retrieved by local fisherman, it falls to DI Tom Janssen and his team to identify how she came to be in the water and what put her there. Joined on the case by his new permanent boss, DCI Tamara Greave, it remains to be proven if the woman's death was a result of foul play or a tragic accident.

The Hidden Norfolk series of thrillers from the multimillion-selling British crime writer JM Dalgliesh, the author of the Dark Yorkshire books. Perfect for fans of LJ Ross, JD Kirk, Rachel McLean, Ann Cleeves, and Simon McCleave.

The setting: England’s rural north Norfolk coastline is stunningly beautiful, sparsely populated with wildlife reserves and unspoiled beaches that stretch for miles. The largest skies imaginable stretch out above the landscape. However, in such an idyllic setting danger lurks. The North Sea storms batter the coastal cliffs, sea fog drifts inland masking the sun for an entire day, and the sparse countryside leaves plenty of opportunity for murder and mayhem.

You get all three of the above books in this one collection. Don't miss out on these gripping crime thrillers from one of the UK's best-selling crime authors.

Another great detective story!

I enjoyed the listen. It captured the human side of being a detective. Everyone struggles in this story.

Good story, terrible narration.

I like this author. The stories are good and the characters are okay. I like the setting, characters, and narration in the Misty Isles series MUCH better. Not to be unkind, but this narrator has a lisp. Thus, all of the characters sound the same, as well as the narrator barely changes the pitch of his voice. It often sounds like he is simply reading the text. It is very off-putting. He can't seem to make up his mind about the speech of one of the characters; He starts out with "normal" speech and then he switches it to cockney. And then he switches it back. Too much for me. I won't be reading anymore books with this narrator.

Great start to this series!

The first three books in this series for one credit is a very good deal. I ended up hooked, and ended up listening to all 14 books. All of them are good. I highly recommend this series. Great narrator as well. He's perfect for this series.

Good story and a good reader

I think these are along the lines of cozy murder mysteries, which is fine with me! I would read more by this author.

Author needs to find a better editor!

I felt like the characters were a bit cardboard. Not much in emotion, connection or background. Poor Eric was completely forgotten about towards the end. Would have been nice to hear his thoughts about what happened the day it all went down. It just didn't seem like the three were a proper team. Not much communication between the three. Didn't feel realistic, especially when they were spending so much time together. No bantering, the sharing of donuts, etc. No one ever said anything personal about themselves the entire time. Really? Hmmm . .

I believe the story ended too soon. Would have been nice to hear the killers side of the story, and a wrap of his family in conversation would have been nice as well.

Also, not enough emotion or thought about Holly and her dreams for the future, her angst, and why wasn't more written about the children at the school and how they were coping with the murder of a classmate? With an unknown killer on the loose, you'd think more people would have been frightened or fussing with the police for information about the case. You know, parents worried about their children's safety, school assembly, etc.

Seems like a good editor would have been instrumental in polishing up this book before publication.

The author, I believe, has good promise. I won't give up on him/her yet as I believe writing gets better with practice and hopefully will be open to accepting constructive criticism for improvement.
"Never give up, never surrender." :)

I'll be reading book two next . .

Good story with a great performance.

I enjoyed the description of the landscapes with twists and turns in the plot. The addition of a relationship and character development is a nice surprise. I love this main character.

A good series to go on with

I had already bought and enjoyed book 1 so much that I was not put out to buy this trio for one credit, even though I already had the first one. The characters are as interesting as the mystery they are solving and I look forward to spending more time with them. The author also manages to deftly fit in the local color and landscape in a pleasing manner for this armchair traveler. My atlas is at the ready for the next adventure.

Likable Characters

It’s refreshing to have a great main character, and good old fashioned murders to solve, without huge conspiracies, and drastic ruckus for our main character.

Good detective

Too many twist and turns that with a few less would have made story more believable
