Nominated, Gumshoe Award, 2008

A decade postmilitary, Jack Reacher has an ATM card and the clothes on his back—no phone, no ties, and no address. But now a woman from his old unit has done the impossible. From Chicago, Frances Neagley finds Reacher using a signal only the eight members of their elite team of army investigators would know. She tells him a terrifying story about the brutal death of a man they both served with. Soon Reacher is reuniting with the survivors of his old team, scrambling to raise the living, bury the dead, and connect the dots in a mystery that is growing darker by the day.

In a world of bad luck and trouble, when someone targets Jack Reacher and his team, they'd better be ready for what comes right back at them.

Bad Luck and Trouble

Any additional comments?

WOW I've read Coben and Koonz and loved him, so someone suggested me to have a shot with Lee Child. And he disappoint. Military code and the reference to their codes adds a superb touch to the noval.

Dick Hill was amazing too, I think no other narrator can do a better job than him on the same book, and I'm picky to the extreme with narrators. I can't wait to read more of Child's books! And I hope audible could get us more of his books in the future too.

Captivating, well performed as always

I've read quite a few Jack Reacher books but most are the recent ones. I have enjoyed every one. Now I'm going to go back to the earlier ones to fill in some Reacher history. Recommend it.

Awesome!

I've read & listened to several Reach novels but I don't think I've ever heard him refer to many people (if any) as his friends.Well it turns out Reacher does have friends,...and if you kill his friends he will kill you back. Great, story & as usual Dick Hill does an excellent job. Highly recommend.

What goes up must come down.

What made the experience of listening to Bad Luck and Trouble the most enjoyable?

You know what Reacher is going to do, you're just not sure how he will pull it off.

What about Dick Hill’s performance did you like?

Dick Hill is Reacher. He knows the character and is consistent with Reacher and the others.

new

If you could sum up Bad Luck and Trouble in three words, what would they be?

Pretty good. Introduces us to another side of Reacher that we've only imagined.

You're the man Jack Reacher!

I pretty much love all of Lee Childs books about Reacher and this is just as good as all the others. Jack Reacher is 250 pounds of muscle logic determination and love em and leave stealth. I love you Jack Reacher.

Made for the Movies

I want see this one made for the big screen or the TV mini series! It's got it all. Great story, great mystery, great team work, great action. Definitely one of my favorites in the book series so far.
