Engaging Flashback Story Telling Blend!

Narrator George Guidell captures the reader with his vocal characterization. Gripping story and I loved the Vietnam War history that was revealed during the tale.

Another Walt Longmire winner!

As always with Walt Longmire, good plot, good character development along with the occasionally humorous interactions between the characters. This story was particularly interesting as it contained flashbacks to Longmire’s time in Vietnam.

Writer?

The author is not a writer as he is a painter! Amazing the way the details are long but fresh and in the end paints a Rembrandt.

Another intriguing, exciting einner

I really enjoyed this book the best so far as Craig Johnson the author weaves Henry's and Walt's personal histories into the story so allowing you to know more of where they came from and what they're made of. In conjunction main story is about the personal history and misinterpreted actions of a downtrodden Warrior and how we can judge such people until we walk in their moccasins.

Great Narrator

The narrator for the series is exceptional. I will admit you're such a small county they certainly have a big problem with murder

Longmire’s Vietnam War Experience Intersects With an Absaroka County Murder Investigation

#4 in the series about a Wyoming County Sheriff, this one a tangled web of the murder of a young Vietnamese woman, with a giant Indian the top suspect, sex trafficking, and a murder investigation by Lt. Longmire during the Vietnam War. All the familiar characters are here, and the tale is well spun as usual. Superbly narrated by George Guidall.

The flash backs to Vietnam

This story resonated with me. As a two combat tour Vietnam vet, I really enjoyed Craig’s spot on descriptions of what it was like during that war. And how he combined a great story with the flashbacks is some skilled trade craft. WELL DONE!

I'm hooked

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, any time you find yourself ready for a new book, as I do every few days, Craig Johnson and George Guidall are a great choice. I would have given 5 stars but, although creative, I thought the back and forth from present to Viet Nam was just a little too heavy.

What other book might you compare Another Man's Moccasins to and why?

Its a bit of James Llee Burke's Dave Robicheaux thoughtful southern cop feeling, but not so poetic or heavy, with a touch of Michael Connelly's flair for distinct character and mystery development.

Which character – as performed by George Guidall – was your favorite?

Thats the real strong part of this series, very well developed characters all. My favorite Henry adds spirituality and strength to every book, followed by Walts spicy, foul mouthed deputy "Vic" and of course Walt Longmire himself as an always stabilizing influence.
